Thoughts: Incomplete animes

No, this is not a post about those anime I gave up. I think so far I only gave up one, for the time being at least, called 91 Days. Everything else I finished it. I mean Incomplete because they feel uncompleted.

For anyone who understands a little about the Anime Industry is that they usually make tv series (animes) based on manga (and lately also based on Light Novels). If you want statistics I can't give you but as an example half of the series in Winter 2017 are based on Manga. Then we've got around 25% based on Light Novels and the rest are based on games, visual novels and there are some originals.

That's my problem with anime. Unless the manga isn't selling they release chapter after chapter and when it starts to sell less they cancel it or give it a rush ending. The anime, following the manga, do one of two things:
a) waits until the end of the manga to make it an anime (if it sold well) or;
b) waits until it sees it's profitable and then makes an anime based in some chapters, giving the possibility to return to a second or third season.

What's the problem with this? Well as you start to watch an anime you've got to wait for one of two things to happen:
-a) if it sells, you've got a second season or longer season
-b) if the dvd don't sell (mainly in japan) OR crunchyroll, amazon, fumination (overseas) doesn't want/support it, probably it will never be available to everyone and so probably will never get a second season.
-c) ratings and reviews also probably will have an impact...

That's why you've got season after season of some animes (Gintama, dragonball, one piece, naruto or Detective Conan, or even more famous pokemon -hundreds upon hundreds of episodes per example).
Some are giving a season, then we wait for another season Haikyuu!! (3 seasons already); Fate/Zero (10 seasons or series, sequels, spinoffs); Jojo (four seasons will get a new season) ; Natsume Yuujinchou (6 seasons incoming) and so on...

Others are more erratic and can take a lot of time for a new season...
Shingeki no Kyojin (4 years hiatus); Seraph of the End (already 2 years but will get a new one);  One Punch Man (first season was in the fall of 2015 and the next season is coming but no date was given); Days (at least one year and half hiatus) and many other examples...

What I am trying to say is that if you enjoy animes - and when you start watching a series, if you like closure (not counting the ones that will get a sequel) you might feel disappointed...

Well, let me talk about some of animes I finish and some examples of "incomplete" animes.

Days is incomplete (I recently read that a second season is coming in 2017 or 18 so scratch it out...)
Giant Kiling felt incomplete.
The Knight in the Area felt incomplete.
(because we are talking about footballs animes, let me say that Captain Tsubasa my favourite anime when I was growing up was incomplete...)
Hai to Gensou no Grimgar felt incomplete ( A second season will come?)
Hundred - incomplete (almost 100% will never have a second season)
Rail Wars - incomplete (almost 100% will never have a second season)
Re-Life - felt incomplete (Second season coming?)
Schwarzesmarken - felt incomplete - (Second season coming?)
Seraph of the End - Two seasons - Incomplete. (Will have a third season? - since both were on 2015 I doubt it... But)
Joker Game - felt incomplete
Keijo!!!! - incomplete (being such a fan fest I don't doubt there is a second season coming)
Hitori no Shita: The Outcast - incomplete (probably will not get a second season)
Long Riders! - Incomplete - (probably will not get a second season)
Koutetsujou no Kabaneri (Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress) - incomplete - Will get a second season?
Nejimaki Seirei Senki: Tenkyou no Alderamin - (Awesome series - Incomplete) - I doubt a second season will come... unfortunally..)
Overlord - Super incomplete - A secons season? Two years have passed... But who knows, the light novels still sell.
Shingeki no Kyojin (Attack on Titan) - Season 1 - Okay super incomplete. A second season will come in April but people who saw it then had to wait 4 YEARS.

These are some examples but there are more.
