Anime: Winter 2019 (Somewhat Review)

This last two seasons have been very good in terms of anime (Spring of 2019) is not going so good which is very unfortunate and disappointing.

Three of them I am still watching them since they go are 24 of more episodes.
Dororo (So far Rate of 8 out of 10)
Rise of the Shield Hero (So far Rate of 9 out of 10)
Karakuri Circus (Coming from Fall of 2018) (rate of 7 out of 10)
Gegege no Kitarou (Coming from Spring 2018)

What did I watch? Well let us start from the ones who are pretty forgettable and stop watching or put on hold.

Mini Toji
Dimension High School
Rishi!! Ekoda-chan
Circlet Princess
Pastel Memories
Egao no Daika
Grimms notes the animation.
Girly Air Force
Endro~!

Most of them are pretty bland and didn't incite me anything to continue watching it. There were even a couple ones I didn't even bother.

So Let us start on I watched...

Ame-iro Cocoa: Side G - Pretty boring anime but with 5m each episode I had to watch. It disappointed. Rate of 2 out of 10. Nothing was really interesting. Not even for fan service.

Kemurikusa (TV) was an interesting anime, made by a single artist for what I gathered. It was  a mystery to watch every episode (with bad CGI) and in the last two or three episodes they really show us the world while developing the characters. Not good but not bad. I Wouldn't advise to anyone because the ending felt rushed.  Rate 5 out of 10.

Kouya no Kotobuki Hikoutai was another pretty generic anime. As Kemurikusa they try to give a bit of character and world  development but only in the end. I didn't enjoy that much although it was totally crap. Wouldn't suggest to anyone. The CGI was pretty bad in characters but in dogfights was okay. Pretty bland and If I knew it was this I wouldn't have watch it. But since I arrive at 5/6 episodes I stick until the end. Even if it's painful. Rate 5 out of 10.

Ueno-san wa Bukiyou the first comedy show with a bit of romance. Not that good to be honest. The girl Ueno is an inventor and tries her best to make the love of his life in every kind of wicked situations like drinking her pee (pee turned into water through her inventions) and so on. She really tries but unfortunately he is just a blockhead. I've seen better comedy like Aho Girl from a couple of seasons before.Same watch time (10/12m). Rate 5 out of 10.

Boogiepop wa Warawanai (2019) what a mess of a show. Could have been good - some people enjoy it but to me it felt short of interesting with nothing really given. Who is boogipop. They try to explain it but probably I am not that smart. I could not enjoy it. Maybe I need to watch the prequel. Rate 5 out of 10.

Mahou Shoujo Tokushusen Asuka - This anime was about what will happen to the shoujo mahou after they defeat the bad guys. Usually the anime is about the develop of character right unttil they fight the bad guys. Here the fought was won but at what price. Pretty interesting theme but I  believe it was not well executed. At times it remind me of Happy Sugar Life. As I said this is a trip about PTSD and what happens when you have to relieve everything. Although with reservations unless you really like Shoujo Mahou animes I would advice it to you. Rate 6 out of 10. Mildly fanservice. Not the main theme at all so why the big boobs to everyone?

Watch Promotional Video
3D Kanojo: Real Girl 2nd Season - This is a second season of an anime I really didn't want to watch but since I saw the first season I thought what a heck. I was really not disappointing at all. At least an anime not so much focus on the main character and with a goddamn closure. Iroha was a good main character with Tsun Tsun while the back stories of Ito and Ayado plus Isishino really gave this show a life. I was more interesting in the other characters than the main, to be honest. If you can endure the first season the second season is a bit better  Rate 7 out of 10.

Watashi ni Tenshi ga Maiorita! - Well here you go the anime that will make you go to jail. Every season there is one and here it is - althought in my opinion was better than last season Uchi no Maid ga Uzasugiru!. Nothing sexual at all but I can understand you cringing you teeth. Don't tell anyone you watch it but I enjoy it. Nice characters- slice of life mix with comedy. If you can pass that stuff about young girls you might enjoy it.  Cannot and will not recommend it. Rate 7 out of 10.

Kaguya-sama wa Kokurasetai: Tensai-tachi no Renai Zunousen Another romantic comedy show (this season was full of romantic and good ones). This show is pure comedy. One boy and one girl love one another but they are too proud so they try everything to make the other tell him/her that she loves him. In between those two we've got Chika and Yuu one is truly oblivious of everything and the other scared of everything. Really interesting. Rate 8 out of 10.

Domestic na Kanojo is a romantic comedy where a boy (Natsuo) loves her teacher Hina. Trying to forget about her he sleeps with Rui (who he doesn't even know) just to return home and find out that his father has remarried and his new wife has two daughters - tchan tchan Rui and Hina! And thus starts the adventures and misadventures of Natsuo. Rui starts developing feelings and he like a normal boy someway hints her go forward while he starts messing with Hina and they start having a hidden relationship. This is pretty good romantic trio with some cringing moments. Go watch you won't be disappointing unless you don't enjoy open endings. I really hope for a second season. Rate 8 out of 10.

5-toubun no Hanayome - Here you go. Romantic comedy at it's best and with a harem in the mix. This is how you do it guys. A interesting show with 5 different girls (although they are sisters and twins). Everyone has a favorite waifu that we know he is going to marry her (it's the first shot of the anime). We don't know who... You've got Yotsuba a light hearted girl who befriends Uesugi first. She is pretty dumb (sorry) but her hear is the right place. Then you've got Ichika a superstar who innitially is trying to setup Miku with Uesugi but starts developing feelings. Nino who is the Tsundere of the show. She loves a young version of Uesugi (she met him long ago) and by the end of the show is showing her feeligns towards Uesugi. Then we've got Miku who is a shy girl that loves ancient Japan. She is the only one who is open hearted and says to some of her sisters that she loves Uesugi. She is my pick. And then you've got the main character (she is unfortunately) Itsuki who first tries to make him go away but then starts feeling something. Although she is probably the fans favorite I believe she is not good enough for him. Advisable. Really hope for a next season. Rate 8 out of 10.

Mob Psycho 100 II - Having love the first season is no secret the second would be as good. And it was. No doubt one of the best shows out there than you can easily get other non-anime people to watch it. You've got something you didn't had in the previous season. Character development. Mob and Reigen were really flash out. The formula of the show changed. Mob is no more the kid that Reigen took advantage. They even have a lover's quarrel. The last battles were amazing. Rate 9 out of 10.

Yakusoku no Neverland - This show started with a bang and slowly developed it. Pretty intereting show from beginning to the end. Every episode I felt adrenaline rising up culminating in the last two episodes. Overall the best show of the season. Really looking forward for 2020. Rate 9 out of 10.

Doukyonin wa Hiza, Tokidoki, Atama no Ue. Here you go. The slice of the life of the season. Pretty interesting show about a shut in writer (not cliche) and his new found cat. This cat is the vehicle of meeting other people who interact with him. The last two episode is a roller coast of emotions and shedding tears is mandatory. Rate 9 out of 10.
