Movie Review: Meg 2 - The Trench (2023) October Horror Fest 2023 (1/31)

This was one of the most disappointing movies I've watch. This is the reason why you shouldn't make remakes. First of all, We all are interesting in Meg and Big Sharks, on TV; on Real Life they would be scary as shit, probably so scare you would die. We are talking about a monster of 20 meters or more. The mouth bigger than you are tall. Let's be real. You would die of fright.

This novel follows the next one, several years have pass and they have a Meg in captivity. Yeah, right.
You've got here the same people doing somekind of vigilante stuff against people who pollutes and such - why not?

They now travel between our seas and where the Megs live and they go there from time to time, to do what? we will never know... Meanwhile they find mercenaries destroying the place for rare metals, because why not? They switch from humans vs Megalodons to  humans vs humans... it's a action movie turn political, just because nowadays why the fuck not.

The characters behave idiotly , they have space to make jokes and behave comically even when everyone around them is either dying or turn to dark side. Then there is the all ending, which makes me wonder, how the fuck the three MEG pass the impassable barrier? Better, how the other monsters passed two? Then why the Megs want to kill ONE person specifically? Are they intelligent? Then the bombs, the characters having the right stuff on the right place. Mercenaries being killed off but little children, un-military people surviving. IT's like idiotic. It's like the monsters know who they must target. Idiotic beyond belief. It's one of those movies that I for the love of the gods can't understand being funded. Why? so they feel good with themselves? fighting the climate change, fighting pollution, etc? fuck off.
