Movie Review: Circle (2015) October Horror Fest (22)

I watched this movie in Netflix and I really enjoy it.
One of the things I most hated in the process of finding work is that roleplay about if you had to choose one person to live of all the assemble who would you choose? The Pregnant Girl? The Police? The Hooker? The Drug Addict? And so on... The pregnant woman had an advantage like the young girl and the old people had disadvantage...

Well in this case, the movie is with 50 people and they are all in a dark room. Every 2 minutes a person dies. (or if he/she leaves the circle they are in).

From the start we see humanity in it's splendor.  People hide behind laws and morality to say to themselves I am good or something like that. People hide behind racism blaming others to atone to their own sins. Well you can name... In the end we are animals and we will always be.

If someone made a pool and ask the same question to 50 people if they had to choose between themselves and a child or a pregnant woman how many people would sacrifice themselves? Now, how many really really would do it? Probably not that many, no?

We are savages. If they withdrew food from you for three, four or more days, nobody would be chivalrous or correct... Or at least not all humanity.

Well I diverse myself... The story as I said it's like that, they choose and vote for someone to die. They try not voting, they try  voting all in one single person but someone dies - probably a tie-in...

We've got to meet a lot of people there, a police, a rich guy, a wife-beater, a priest, a pregnant, a child and so on... Sometimes they vote for someone who was fussing; sometimes they vote for old people to give them time, sometimes they vote on black and so on... At half past 20 person left they start debating on who should live and some want the pregnant and/or child to live others do not that social convention and want a try.  Eventually they trim down to blocks and morality, tricks and so on enter the play...

In the end (spoilers) we come to a guy who from the start wanted to save the pregnant and the child. He says that he cannot choose for them and they should choose among themselves - the child says she will sacrifice for the pregnant woman. When the clock was ticking down he urges the girl that they should do in union. The girl sacrifices herself and he quickly votes for the pregnant woman killing her - being the last man standing.

But the weapon charges and since he doesn't vote he and the unborn child of the pregnant woman get a tie and he kills it. He later leaves the spaceship (yeah aliens) and joins a group of people where most of the survivors where children and pregnant woman... (HAREM!!!) Now whats....

That makes me question... if the pregnant woman was alone alive would they make her vote for herself or her unborn child like it happen with the man?

Interesting movie that will traumatize forever if I go to a interview...

Movie Review: Ju-On: The Curse (1) (2000) October Horror Fest (21)

Ju-On: The Curse is the first movie of these series. This one was not the first that the rest of the world watch because this was made directly to video. Two years later the same guy made the same movie but with better budget.

The movie sounds and it's cheap because the budget was not that high but still it's spooky (not as spooky as the 2002 version) but nevertheless faithful to the book I wrote. The ending was a bit rushed in my opinion but I think it's most the budget fault than anything else. The story it's really faithful to the novel. Don't watch the american version with Sarah Michelle Gellar - although it's one of the best american movies it's not in the same league of the 2002. This one could be skippable if you want.

Movie Review: Viral (2016) October Horror Fest (20)

Viral was one of those movies I expected more and got nothing in return. Basically we've got this sisters who are in adolescent and they are home alone. Then a virus (not a virus but a parasite) is unleash and their town is under siege because this parasite is like one we have that makes rats go after cats so the cat can eat it and pass unto the cat.

Basically it controls the host. This one was the same but

a bit spookier since things come out of their ears and mouths as it search for other people to contaminate. They also have some kind of social interaction amongst themselves.

The movie doesn't hint how far or how this parasite came to be. It doesn't even say how and if they could control it. One of the sisters sadly got it but young teens control it where top scientists could not... Yeah

Movie Review: Gui Si - Silk (2016) October Horror Fest (19)

This movie was one of those you watch it and in a couple of months you will still remembered. Basically this guy (a scientist) as device a thing (don't know the name) that could make him see ghosts. So he can prove it he enlists the help of a officer who can read lips - because the ghost only move lips but no words come out...

We then follow the cop and the rest of team  as they try to discover how that ghost came to be. We also follow the scientist achieve it's hidden agenda - turn himself into a ghost (to become all powerful).

Interesting movie made by Taiwan and Japanese folk. Good horror (The ones we are use to watch in Taiwan and Japanese movies). Advisable to anyone.

Movie Review: Pet (2016) October Horror Fest (18)

Pet was one of my favorite shows of this October Horror Fest. Basically we've got this guy who works at some animal clinical and meets a girl who he fancies her. After a while he tries to talk to her and even go further to follow her. He later on kidnaps her and we think that he wants to break her but it seems the girl is not what it seems. The girl kills people and the guy seen her do it so he kidnap her to make her change (and because he loves her).

After a while he becomes carelessness and another guard of the animal shelter/clinical tries to save her and she tricks him and make the guy who kidnap her kill him. After a while he releases her, when she says that he had saved her and she knocks him down.

After some months she is back with her old boyfriend and controlling the urging to kill him. She leaves the house and goes to an abandoned where she abuses the guy who kidnap her before.Basically he let himself be caged so she can vent her stuff onto him so she doesn't kill other people... some twisted love.

Fun Spoiler Facts
- Male & Female Protagonist
- Not Nudity (maybe in a uncensored version?)
- Happy Ending (?)

Movie Review: The Believers (1987) October Horror Fest (17)

The Believers is a tale about some kind of perverted christian religion mix with african tribal beliefs. Basically is a religion that is practiced by people from Central America or Africa that involves some spooky symbols and even the sacrifice of animals. Of course that could be seen as Voodoo or other thing and so it was viewed upon in New York.

Basically this tale is about a psychiatric who is helping policemen and sees involved in some ritual. As he tries to understand more of it his housekeeper also uses some ritual to protect his child but unfortunately he thinks it's bad and so fires her.

A black tribal priest comes to New York and starts killing people (with ritual spells not physical) who are connected to case. There is a final confrontation in the end where we learn that some high society folk are into that kind of rituals to earn more money and success.

Quite good horror / thriller. It's already a cult movie.

Fun Spoiler Facts
- Male Protagonist
- Not Nudity
- Not that Happy Ending; It hints that the woman he dates in the end is into the same belief of the killers

ANIME: FALL 2017 (WHAT AM I WATCHING?)

Just Because
This is one of first seasons I really try to trimmed down on what to watch. Since it's October and it's current October Horror Fest there is less time to anime. But I cannot in good conscious give

up or stop trying no?

Well one that I watch the first but stop not because I am not enjoying but because I really want to watch five or six in a row is Mahoutsukai no Yome (The Ancient Magus' Bride). It sure feels refreshing.

I am not watching sequels like Gintama, Shokugeki no Souma, 3 Gatsu no Lion, Osomatsu-san, Kekkai Sensen and Hoozuki no Reitetsu (Althought some are on my list to watch - well the first season that is...)

Now about the ones I am following
(Top 9)
Inuyashiki (MAPPA) the first episode almost brought me to tears while the second to hate... Really enjoying
Shoujo Shuumatsu Ryokou (White fox) after Made in the Abyss this chibi is a must watch. Not as good so far - but I am really enjoying... mystery mix with slice of life but most of all the feeling of loneliness and dread....
Just Because (Pine Jam) - My favourite of the season - romance and slice of life I think this is my favourite genre
Houseki no Kuni (Orange) this one is odd anime, 3D genderless beings being capture by other. I cannot even say much because it's od but good
My Girlfriend is a faithful virgin bitch (Diomedea) with this title how can it go wrong? Good comedy romance anime
Imouto sae Ireba li - every season there is anime where our main character is in love or would love to make ... love to his little sister (loli)
Kino no Tabi (Lerche)- It is a sequel or remake of some sorts. As I watch it a feeling of peace enters me... so far so good
Net-Juu no Susume (Signal MD) - the comedy story of a addicted gamer
Juuni Taisen (Graphinica) - Fate & Battle Royale mix

Girls Last Tour
Others I am watching
Black Clover (Studio Pierrot) - Enjoying but those screams argh...
Evil or Live (Haoliners) Crappy image but interesting story
Osake wa Fuufu ni Natte Kara - Drinking anime - 4m long so...
Omiai Aite Wa Oshiego - 4m Hentai so...

Watched the first episode - enjoy it but don't know if gonna keep going
Blend S (A-1 Pictures)
Konohana Kitan (Lerche)
Animegataris (WAO World)
Code: Realize: Sousei no Himegimi (MSC)

Garo: Vanishing Line (Already watch three eps and I am really thinking of giving up)

Movie Review: The Void (2017) October Horror Fest (16)

The Void is a homage to the Cthulhu Mythos. First of all you've got the setting (a under-staff hospital in the middle of nowhere). Then the feeling of hopelessness that we see throughout the movie.

We've got glimpses of strange monsters (Dark Young? - google it) but the real enemy are men. The feeling of dread is there from the beginning to the end.

Even the ending its what you call Cthulhuesque. Usually the this stories we've got some people trying to wake or summon a strange Elder/Dark God (not Christianity) and by the end of the movie either the feeling of dread continues hinting that the Dark God is coming or it comes. But on this movie our main protagonist who is besiege from all sides sacrifices himself to protect humanity (another "normal" ending).

This is a good tale. Good Mythos tale never hinting who the dark one (could be from Cthulhu to Azatoth)

In the end I was satisfied with the movie making me wanna search other producers tales.

Fun Spoilers Facts
- Male protagonist
- Boobs? Didn't seem them - not in any "beautiful" way
- Ending? He died but stays with his ex-wife reunited in some sort of hell…

Movie Review: Ryde (2016) October Horror Fest (15)

I will never ride Uber :)

This movie is quite straightforward. A woman pick one guy in a bar and want to fuck him so she brings him home. She calls through Ryde (think Uber) and after arriving home he kills her. Afterwards he calls Carl (the Ryde guy) and asks him to take him to his place. He then kills Carl and takes his place. We understand by his questions and talk that he realize that work was quite good for his "hobby".

We then follow "Carl" driving people to places. Sometimes killing and other times don't. Basically everyone that upset him he killed.

We also follow another character (a woman) that is going to a party with her boyfriend. "Carl" understands that not everything is Ok with the couple. He even fantasize helping her. Later that night he meets with her and tries to drive to another place where he tries to kill her but she got away crashing the car. She awakes at the hospital and tries to recognize "Carl" but says that he is not "Carl" (because it is the real Carl. The movie ends

As I said, straightforward. The killer killed everyone that he thought was being wrong or behaving bad. Per example, he drives 3 girls home, one of them drunk and sleeping. The other two consume drugs and try to have sex with him. He kills the two girls but the other one he puts her to bed without harming her.

Fun Spoiler Facts
- Male Protagonist
- Some boobs
- Happy ending? She survives although he was not killed so...

Movie Review: Raw (2016) October Horror Fest (14)

Raw is a movie about a teenager who wants to be a veterinarian and is going to university. Her sister is already there. Oh btw, she is vegetarian.

As the movie begins they are being target because she is a freshmen. No only her but all freshmen. She is in a room with a gay man.

The movie is really brutal. I must some say that some images really disturbed me. First she coughing up hair. Eating raw meat. Putting a hand inside the ass of a cow and other stuff, womans peeing contest (I kid you not), brazilian waxing gone wrong (DARN!); cannibalism, sipping blood - This movie made me sick! I had to stop to watch at times or skip forward... I was this close to vomit...

The ending is sick man. This movie is weird and from a movie of coming-of-age is not advisable to many people... Well most people to that matter. I bet most people will hate  it and stop watching or vomit themselves.

As I read, this movie belongs to a wave of New Wave Extremity or something like that. Martyrs which I watch last season is one of them. Being one of my favorite

movies of the year it sick me out....

One question I ask after watching the movie is why people wanna be a veternarian...

Fun Spoiler Facts
- Female Protagonist
- some boobs; some asses (in the peeing contest); a guy blowing another guy (nothing is seen) except they he is in all four; sex between a girl and a gay man (all of this nudity is not in any way what you could call sexy...)
- Not happy ending at all... (It seems their mother also is a cannibal and her father shows her the bite marks on his torso. Damn! And it seems both their daughters have that gene..

Movie Review: Bed of the Dead (2016) October Horror Fest (13)

This movie was strange. Basically two couples wanna  have some fun together - and by fun I mean sex!  Unfortunately (for them and us) it doesn't go that well and they end up only sleeping in a big bed. That bed, we got that from the beginning of the movie is made of a tree that was used to hang/kill someone.

After a while weird things start to happen and we get to see a second timeline (several hours afterwards). The movie itself is not good or that interesting I must say. It isn't even that scary in my humble opinion.

Basically it's a mix of horror with time travelling where it seems you can change the past...

Fun Spoiler Facts
- Two Main characters
- No nudity that I can remember
- Happy ending (if you can say that...) not that bad.

Movie Review: Get Out (2017) October Horror Fest (12)

This movie starts with a black man being killed or abducted on a suburb (there is no hint to racism or something like that).

Then we follow the story of another black man as he is going to meet his white girlfriend parents. Strange things happen and everything seemed weird. From the black waitress and gardener to other people they meet. After one hour mark things become a bit scarier as everything unfolds. It seems as a neurosurgeon the family can replace their brains with other people. Why black people? Who knows. It's never figure it out but hinted that it has to do with "Dark" situation they are put in.

The ending is shit. Sorry. Didn't enjoy and don't understand all the 100% reviews. Why? Because it was made by a black producer and hints at hidden racism even with liberal people? I know this is a criticism to the liberal who say "I would vote for obama a third time" or "I love tiger woods" and something like that. People who say who are not racism and try a bit too hard to say that... Everyone have said things like (when talking to a black person or other race) "Yeah my best friend is X - he is black) - Why hinting he is black?
That's camouflage racism. You know there are differences but try a bit too hard.

Enfin - the only reason this movie gets so much high ratings it's because people are racism and so give 5* to say - "Yeah that's true or something like that". Because the movie is NOT that good. It's fine horror that have some comedy relief BUT it's not one of those movies you would advice to other people - unless you wanna say to that people - I am not racist; I even suggest that movie with black actors. Crap! You are racist because you say black actors. They are not black actors - They are actors period.

Sorry for the ramblings. There are also some parts where the black say prejudice stuff against white. There is racism against white you know that don't you?

My thoughts on racism or prejudice. We all said something against fat, skinny, no breast girl, people with glasses, people with different tastes that ours and so on... We are human therefore we are not equal to another human. There are differences between one another. Between blacks, between fat people, between smart people, between gays.. We are humans.  Unless those prejudices controls us it is not wrong to feel things we feel...  I know probably someone is gonna comment calling me a racist or something like that - I don't mind - I know what I am. If it feels better to you calling me that do it... I know I am not a racist.

Fun Spoiler Facts
- Male Protagonist
- No Nudity
- Happy close black Ending

Movie Review - From a House on Willow Street (2016) October Horror Fest (11)

This is some spooky horror movie. Talk about bad luck. Kidnapping a possessed girl who will make you darkest dreams come to life.

Basically a group of people (4) kidnap a girl to ask for ransom but it seems the girl had been "kidnap" by someone before - a demon!

We've got to see some videos of how it came to be and the history behind. Most of the movie is how they try to overcome the demon... why am I kidding you? It's a survivor game...

It's interesting but don't expect too much out of it. One of those movies you watch and you forget. One of the worst endings in all the movies I've watch this month.  Deus Ex Machina... The main protagonist  basically turn into a Ripley and killed a demon plus other possessed person whereas at least 10 persons could not. Why? Because the demon who sometimes could even stop bullets but with her could do nothing at all... And that nightmares dreams they should experience ? Yeah they quickly disappear because our protagonist is dumb cold person... or maybe this is crap?!... Yeah

Fun Spoiler Facts
- Female Protagonist
- No Nudity whatsoever
- Crappy Ending - Yeah... (Happy ending?)

Movie Review: Ghost House (2017) October Horror Fest (10)

This one was one of my favorite of the seasons. As you all figure it out by now - I enjoy Asian Horror. Well this is not one of them BUT it's set on Asian - Thailand to be precise.

Basically a couple is on holidays in Thailand and as good american they make fun of local customs - in this case in Thailand they have some small houses (think bird houses) and give offering to them. This way the ghosts are please and never enter their houses. An English man scams them into stealing from one of those houses. From that moment on the american lady is stricken down by something. This are the first 30m. The american lady turns into a crazy lady  as she is haunted by ghosts. Meanwhile we follow the american man as he tries to understand on what is happening since medicine is proven ineffective. He later learns that he has only a couple of days or else she is going to died. Unless he do what the English man did to them (his wife had being seeing ghosts) his wife is going to died. Basically "pass" the ghost to other person.

He tries to scam a couple of fellows but at last second he couldn't do it.

He finally discovers another way of saving his bride. This everything had the help of Thai man. In the end (last 15m) there is a supernatural confrontation which was really good.

In the end I really like the movie. Solid Horror.

Fun Spoiler Facts
- Male and Female Protagonist
- Side Boobs - 3/5 seconds or so
- Happy Ending - but as most horror novels making us think that there is a possibility of a second movie. Basically another american couple buys one of those ghost houses and bring it to USA.

Movie Review: A Dark Song - October Horror Fest (9)

Sophia is a grieving woman who cannot overcome the death of her son. Her son was abducted and killed by a group of teenagers. She asks the help of Solomon (an occultist) to perform a long rite called Abramelin (Kabbalistic grimoire) where you can summon a guardian angel.

Basically she wants to enlist the help of her angel to exact revenge on the killers of her son.

Most movie (1h) focus on the process of the ritual itself. From drawing of images in the ground to eating of particular things and so on.

Solomon is not a patient man and gets upset with  Sophie and I think at times he even tries to  take advantage of her. One time he asks her to undress so he can masturbates as he looks at her.

As the story progress they clash several times and in one of them Solomon is killed. Afterwards she tries to leave the house but realize she cannot.

She is confronted by a demonlike creature that possessed Solomon and finally she meets with her Guardian Angel who talks to her (although we do not understand it). She then asks for power to forgive.

Sophia then leaves the house and the movie ends.

It's a very nice movie interesting features - an independent movie, but ultimately to me, I say again - to me, it failed to convince me because the movie takes place as they make the rituals that take months. Although

they said ok so five days now for this and a week for that and so on - it failed to make an impression in me. The same happens with food and their appearance doesn't change at all...

BUT I think it has a strong lesson- one which all people just abide - to forgive... but to me it's wrong. That's the christian way. Being a Irish movie set in wales I thought they would go dwell on those countries celtic old ways... but alas they did not. If someone murdered my son - I I could ever forgive them. An accident? Mayhaps but cold murder? Never... That christian crap of forgive to be at peace - bah...

Fun Spoiler Facts
How far would you go to see your child?
- Female Protagonist
- Boobs (5 seconds or so)

- Happy Ending ? If you are a Christian - maybe...

Movie Review: Ouija: Origin of Evil - October Horror Fest (8)

Ouija Origin of Evil 2016 is a prequel to Ouija made 2 or 3 years ago.

It is set in late 1960's and a woman (Alice) is a psychic who tries to help other people withe seances... but all is  a scam that she do with the help of her two children.

After a while Lina starts playing with a Ouija Board and afterwards Doris (the younger child)  begin talking with her father (who had passed away months before). But nothing is what it seems... With the help of a Priest (from her children school) Lina and Alice are trying to understand what come over Doris because she started writing in Polish and knowing stuff she could not possible know.

I must say that most movie is scary and I really enjoy it. Mike Flanagan is a great director (I've watch several of his movies like Oculus, Before I wake and Hush. All of them are very good spooky horror flicks...

That's why I watch this one. This is very rare for me - watching movies because of a director. One of the next movies I am going to watch is Gerald's Game (and it is a Stephen King story so it's a must). The Haunting of Hill House is another TVseries I am eagerly waiting (coming in 2018).

Well it was a really interesting movie as I said and scary. The end was scary but predictable...

Fun Spoiler Facts
- Female(s) Protagonist
- No nudity whatsoever

- Ending? Not happy at all...

Just another thing... How to drive away a guy from hitting on your sister (or daughter)

Doris Zander: Wanna hear something cool?
Mikey: Sure.
Doris Zander: Do you know what it feels like to be strangled to death? First, you feel the pressure in your throat. Your eyes wate
r, and you start to taste something
very, very sour in your mouth. Then it's like someone lights a match right in the middle of your chest, and that fire grows. It fills your lungs, and your throat, and all the way behind your eyes. And finally, that fire turns to ice; like pins and needles of ice are sticking into your fingers, your toes, your arms. You see stars, then darkness. And the last thing you feel... is cold.
[Mikey looks confused and horrified]
Doris Zander: [smiles] Goodnight, Romeo.

Movie Review: Rabbit Horror - October Horror Fest (7)

This is why I don't eat rabbit....
Rabbit Horror is a psychadelic Horror. If that exist somehow.  A boy kills a dying rabbit out of mercy but other boys don't understand that and taunt him. The boy then starts watching a giant rabbit (costume) where he plays with the rabbit but also some scary psychedelic shit.

Our main character is mute which turns this movie even more weirder and scary. I will say you this... This is Alice in the Wonderland made in Japan as a horror story. Unless you are really paying attention this movie will be very confusing.

There are some flashbacks as we follow the life of Kiriko as she meets her stepmother and she kills her (althought unwillingly). From this moment on they are chased and taunted by a big stuffed rabbit.

After a while things get even weirder and you start question yourself and the director. When the movie ended I thought to myself... Yeah... What? Fvck! I didn't understand that ending. Who was dreaming? The father? The Boy? The girl? The rabbit? Me? What a heck man... You almost drove me insane with the last 20m.

Fun Spoiler Facts
- Female Protagonist
- No nudity whatsoever
- Ending? I really, honestly, don't know....

But true to be told it was a nice movie. Maybe if I watch it a second time...

Btw, there are some parts in 3D. Cool

Movie Review: Man VS - October Horror Fest (5)

This is a tale about a man who likes to challenge nature. Basically if you watch those shows on National Geographic about a man being left in a wild area and must survive for several days. Nothing to extraordinary there.

It was interesting to watch that, like probably, in those NG shows sometimes not everything is recorded. Sometimes they must resort to a little cheating... Who knows?

Well, after a couple of days in the wild explaing us some interesting techniques something crashes on the lake and starts stalking him. At first he thinks it's a bear or a wolf then he realizes it's something else. We get to see some glimpses of something in his cameras. After the fourth day he gives up because he is really scared and he seen something odd - an ET.

We get to see him battle the ET and finally arriving  at the camp where the rest of the crew was. He then learns that aliens have invaded earth and destroy almost every city. He vows that he must go to find his wife and child...

Probably a new movie on the making? I don't know if it is needed...

Well about my thoughts.... It is not a good movie that you would love to watch a second time. It's not even a movie you would advice anyone to watch unless they like those NG shows. It's not a show to watch if someone asks you they want to watch alien invasion movie... It's a show to watch if it is on TV and that's it... Don't go looking for it.

Fun Spoiler Facts
- Male Main Character

- There is a scene where his wife shows her boobs and he watches it on his phone - barely 3 seconds or so.
- Open ending. Not that bad because he is alive and his family can be alive BUT aliens invaded earth and destroy most cities... so...

Movie Review: Flight 7500 - October Horror Fest (6)

Ahh a zombie apocalypse on a plane you would think after watching the first 40m. I thought of Flight of the Living Dead but then it changed... Oh and what a change... Basically they turn into a more Terror movie than Horror/Gore. They could go for a easy approach but they tried to go further beyond.

For the first 40/45m we are watching the lives of a dozen people. Following their movements and thoughts. Choosing which ones should die or not.  That's what we do. Pick our favorites and hope they survive.

But after that 40/45m  everything changed. And spoilers ahead....

Basically we follow the group (6/7) after the plane encounter some problems and making them oxygen deprived. The masks come out and afterwards they try to uncover how could a corpse and another passenger disappeared.

Each character then goes through a revelation of some sorts - one stewardess realized that she couldn't be with the pilot because he would never leave his wife. Another stewardess realized that she didn't love her boyfriend and so on... but afterwards, and many terror perils afterwards they realized that they were already dead. It seems that the plain malfunction and they weren't breathing nothing and everyone died of oxygen deprivation.
This is the most sex you gonna watch on this movie..

Very interesting ending making it a pleasant movie.

Fun Spoiler Facts
- Several Main Characters
- Not Good Ending - Everybody dies. But it was not a sad ending.

- No Boobies or nudity whatsoever.

Movie Review: Friend Request - Ocotober Horror Fest (4)

T

his tale is a satyr of some sorts about the internet and social apps and our dependence on them - in this case facebook. A girl befriends another girl (spooky I might say) and from this moment on it's terror every 5m.

This is something we all can relate or at least have heard... That one person we befriend and he or she tries to hard - Trying to replace our current friends even go so far to be jealous when we try to have sometime without him or her? Well this is it.

But the girl (Marina) is a very psycho - a witch of modern times. One by one her (Laura) friends die. With each dead Laura loses several dozen of her hundreds of friends and she can't unfriend Marina.

Then half the movie we follow Marina going on a killing spree.

In the last twenty minutes Laura tries to understand Marina and why she is doing and how she is doing that and in a final confrontation Marina kills Laura's best friend and boyfriend.

In the last scene we watch Laura on the school looking at a group of friends like she use to have before meeting Marina. As she closes the facebook and PC we watch her eyes changing colour - the same Marina had hinting that she was possessed by Marina.

Note- Laura is Alycia Debnam-Carey - the actress who plays in the TV Series Fear of Walking Dead and The 100. I think she is a good actress.

Fun Spoiler Facts
- Female Protagonist
- Not Good Ending - Everybody dies or become possessed.
- No Boobies

Movie Review: Chrysalis - October Horror Fest (3)

She can't read... Sorry
Chrysalis is a boring movie. I must I didn't enjoy at all. The movie follows two people (a couple) as they try to live in a post apocalyptic world several decades into the future.  That part was interesting. Usually with zombie apocalypses we follow right after or sometime in the future (Walking dead per example). But on this several decades have passed...

They meet some other people, they dwell on who to save and the movie focus more on that - on the social interactions between the survivors.

But alas, the movie don't evolve that much. It could have been made in 40 minutes or less and spare alot of visual pain. First because it seems they are always in the same place and secondly because they spent a lot of time with pointless walking and talking...

I disliked every character...

Fun Spoiler Facts
- Two Main Characters
- There was a sex scene with some boobs for 5/6.

- Not an Happy Ending - Only one of the characters survive.

Movie Review: Minutes Past Midnight - October Horror Fest (2)

Well... My boy loves the Jarmies (the cartoon with the stars playing around... so let us hope they don't appear in my house with an axe or something like that...)

Minutes Past Midnight is a collection of short movies made by several directors so basically each one is different from the rest - there no connection to one another (that I see it).

There are only a couple ones that are that  interesting - one about a Funhouse and another about love (twisted love) or even one interesting about the meeting of one grandparents who are cannibals. There are one when your favorite cartoon turns himself into a maniac with a hammer... (this one was not in English)

Everyone loves cannibal granpa...
Well as I said before - there is some interesting ones but most of them were rushed and weak in my humble opinion.

Fun Spoiler Facts
- Several short movies so no main character...
- I hope I didn't miss it but there wasn't any nakedness..

- Happy or Not happy ending - that is the question. Most were not happy ending.

Movie Review: The Cabin in the Woods - October Horror Fest (1)

This is a Cthuluesque kind of horror with a mix of slasher.

Basically a group of friends go to a house to have a good time. As they dwell on it something (a monster) appears and ruins their escapade.

At the same time as the movie progress we follow some technicians who are controling the group.

After a while we understand that that "tech" group is one of dozen groups around the world that unleash a monster (the group basically do something that unleashes it) and then hell breaks loose.

There is some rules and such.

By the end of the movie we learn that basically there are ancient beings beneath the earth (think Cthulhu and such) and they have a truce with humankind but for that to happen every year they  must satiate themselves with blood - Big Brother but with deaths. There is also a pattern (or a trope if you want - like first the bitch, then the jockey and so on).

Role the dice... Which monster are you fighting tonight?
This movie is a satire on horror genre. First they use a lot of common themes on horror and put it together. Like in all horror movies there are always a girl who is a "bitch"; there is also a "pure or virgin", a "jockey" a "goof-a-around" and a "Geek".

The other thing is the monsters. When they arrive at the tech facility there are a lot of monsters. Well another thing is the ending - It emulates the fiction of Cthulhu. There is no happy ending. There is a doom-esque situation - basically they were all supposed to died but one of them didn't and the giants (that's how they call them) appear destroying all the house with one hand (basically they are gigantic and green

If I went to a house this far out, mist all around - I would think it that I was in a horror movie...
Excellent movie to start my October Horror Fest.

Fun Spoiler Facts
- Female main Protagonist
- Boobs for 5 or 6 seconds
- Not an happy ending

Anime Review: Netsuzou Trap (Summer 2017)

Small Opinion Mix with Advice

This anime had 10m per episode and it was more than sufficient for the tale.

This anime has some similarities with Kuzu no Honkai  since it tries to be a more mature approach to love - in this case between two girls. This girls each have a boyfriend but they are old friends and one of them likes to tease the other with kissing and touching (big boobs both) and while the first feels awkward she rarely escapes from it. Not to dwell much on it - but then the second girl discovers she really feels something for the other and so tries to make it happen.

This anime is 12 episodes with 9/10 minutes each. There are some really interesting scenes that I really enjoy it eheh it's my hentai side. But unfortunately this show doesn't go too far or develop that much.

Ending: You've got a ending but it was all too easy... At least they are really cute and the animation is good. Bearable watchable.

Anime Review: Yamishibai 5th Season (Summer 2017) OCTOBER HORROR FEST (01)

This is my first entry to this year October Horror Fest. A season I try to watch 31 horror movies/series or/and animes. Last Year I watch 32 Movies butI wanted to change a bit...

Here is my last year review

First of all, it's not that good in my opinion and it's not very frightful in my opinion. The stories are 5m short and each one is independent on the other one although the last episode usually connects with the opening sequence in each episode.

Give it to me is one of the best stories.  Basically a young girl wants something from a stranger and asks her. She gives it, first is a lipstick then a pendant, then the boyfriend and lastly her life.

Hide and Seek and Crow Children are more traditional horror stories about children playing and getting more than they are looking... curiosity killed the cat no?

The Neighbors is about a young teen living in her new apartment but hearing scratching noises from the next door - I can see this one being a full length movie.

If you want to see ghosts - is one that I have seen before I Think but she was blind and got a new pair of eyes (not eyes but the membrane - don't know the name) and she starts to see ghosts.

A good collection but nothing too frightful as I said. Since the art style is the amalgamation of still images - without animation (or at least very few animation) - I think this is based on kamishibai - so it's a choice not low-budget.

A good addition to the previous 4 seasons. Watch it if you want to try horror stories or if you have 5m for spare.

Rating 4/10
