TV Series Review: Z Nation

Z Nation was a show I started watching in 2014 when it was first released.

It's was a ripoff of Walking Dead but it was fresh with the comedy and such.  I really enjoy following 10K, Roberta, Doc and such. Then the show changed a bit by bit and it began to be painful to watch. The last season I drop out because it was becoming overtly boring and SJW.

I still believe the show was good in the beginning. Only watch the first three seasons then it began ridiculous.

TV Series Review: Big Bang Theory & Modern Family

Here we go...

Big Bang Theory started a long time and in my opinion if they had been started today it would been cancelled within a single season because of society now sees shows. They criticize everything and penny "the dumb" blonde would have been criticized so much... But thank the gods it wasn't and it stay with us for 13 or 14 years. Really enjoyed the show with my wife and I believe it ended when it was supposed to end. I have no doubts it will stay as a show to the future.

Modern Family still rages on and it's different in every way comparing with BBT. This show either will stay for more ten years or the characters will leave. They are well established as a solid show. Diverge characters with interesting takes on politics, gender and other issues.

I enjoy it.

TV Series Review: Scream, Sex Education & Society (2019)

How the might have fallen. The new series is a SJW crap that deserves to be forgotten. I hope it is. I only saw because I enjoy the first two seasons but I really regret how it turn out. With 6 episodes is smaller than the previous and missing EVERYTHING the other two seasons had. Spooky scenes; thriller, interesting characters... The only reason they made this one was because of the black characters. The only two white characters, in the show, were a drug dealer and the killer itself. Enfin.

The other two shows Sex Education & Society. Both are SJW as well. The only difference is that Sex Education is not as bad as the other two. Society is a bunch of socialist crap in some episodes and then good in others. The story was made by different directors and it seems they were not in accordance on the path to take. See here my innitial thoughts.... Another show that will be forgotten with time.

In the last we've got Sex Education - is also SJW but it's not as crappier as the other two.It tries to convey ideas but unfortunately again they were taken a little two far.

Advisable: Only Sex Education can be advisable but I really don't know who I would suggest...

TV Series Review: Hot Zone (2019) & Chernobyl (2019)

This TV Series is a retelling of what happened in the USA when they first suspected the Ebola virus was  present in some animals. It's a very interesting take on it. It focus a lot on drama but in a good way.  With 6 episodes you got a nice thriller with rapid  development. Meanwhile we've got a story within a story of events that happened earlier.

SIDA or AIDS when discovered was atrributed to some part of society that had no really power to make things going. With some important people dying on it they start researching it and try to amend. Ebola was a bit different since they already knew the chaos and death that caused.

To anyone who enjoys thrillers and inspired in real events this is a much watch.

Chernobyl is also a thriller but not as fast paced. It's more history focus on a great catastrophe and it's the vision we (occidentals) have on it. After all history remembers as a accident product of soviet communism while the Russians view it as accident fruit of CIA. Who is right? Nobody knows because history is changeable - it depends on who writes it or who is in power.

I seldom saw a more interesting history-focus tv series and I really enjoy it. Advisable to anyone.

Kyoto Animation - Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuuutsu (Spring 2006; Spring 2009 & Winter 2010)

The ones I watched - let me focus only on bigger Series....
  1. Hyouka (Spring 2012) with 22 Episodes - it's on my top 10 animes
  2. Amagi Brilliant Park (Fall 2014) with 13 Episodes
  3. Violet Evergarden (Winter 2018) with 13 episodes
  4. Tamako Market (Winter 2013) With 12 episodes plus a movie
I've just finished
Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuuutsu with two seasons each 14 episodes plus a movie. Review below...

Next to watch
Chuunibyou demo Koi ga Shitai!  24 Episodes (divided in two seasons) plus some movies; ovas and specials. or Kyoukai no Kanata - I am still undecided.

One I am going to watch in the near future, probably afterwards and slowly is going to be Clannad with 50 episodes..

Undecided yet of the date but still this year Liz to Aoi Tori , Nichijou,  Hibike! Euphonium & Kobayashi-san Chi no Maid Dragon

Undecided AirKanon (2006)Lucky☆Star & K-On!Free! & Tsurune: Kazemai Koukou Kyuudoubu Unot now.

Well Suzumiya... What to think of that... The series are divided in three things. Two searies each with 14 episodes then a full lenght movie with more than two hours. It could easily been made into a TV series althought I understood why they didn't.

The series follow Kyon the narrator and protagonist of the series. He is a sarcastic and easy going guy who is drawn to Suzumiya way of life. After meeting him she starts a club called SOS Brigade where the goal is to help people against the supernatural, extraterrestrial and such. Three members later enter the club; Yuki Nagato which is a bibliophile that gives no hint of any kind of feelings or emotions - we later understand that she is god-like being. Then we've got Mikuru; a time-traveler who was assigned to investigate the reason why no-one can travel back more than 3 years. Then'v you've got Koizumi an esper.

All three characters join to either control Suzumiya or to investigate why the world is the way it is. Basically when Suzumiya gets bored the world suffers with it - a fracture reality pocket of some sorts appears and within monsters threaten reality.

The reason is never explained on why she has this kind of powers... The series were released within two seasons but they were not chronologically released. I've seen it chronologically and seeing now I believe it's the correct way.

The first season is very good with a  lot of good tales where our characters really develop. The second season has the infamous Endeless Eight where Kyoto Animation made 8 episodes that have very small differences but fundamentally they are identical. The reason to my knowledge was never really given. In my opinion three episodes are more than sufficient and you can safely skip the fourth to seventh episode - if you want.

The movie is the crown jewel of the series in my opinion. It focus a lot on Kyon with great monologues and really develop him. Haruhi unfortunately is absent most of the time which is rather unfortunate.

I would advise anyone to watch it; but skip those endless eight episodes (except the first and last).

Is it the best from Kyoto Animation? Not by a long chance. Hyouka is way better - but if you compare with other seasonal animes it's top notch.
