All of creation suffers, young ones. Only in accepting our own mortality can we make a difference. Only in bearing the burden of our failures can we find the strength to go on. Only in detachment from glory, or honour, or jealousy... from life itself can we hope to spare others from grief.
We are Doom Eagles. And we are dead already.
So Trha wins again. Probably a bit up the scaled compared with Sadness. But interesting I said two things last year;
Next year I don't expect anything different...
Please continue to make great music.. I will keep buying. Wish I could have CD's to hear in my car.
I did buy 5 cd's so far and yes nothing is different. Still love Trha and it's only band I hear constantly. No other comes to the fight. Interesting on how things are turning out...
So I bought "§ºanΩë aglivajsamë cá nëlh¶iha i eddana pi¶e " No, I am not having a stroke writing this... is how it's written :) Also bought:
"lhum'adsejja" , mã Héshiva õn dahh Khata trhândlha vand ëfd datnen Aghen Ecíës drhãtdlhan savd abcu vat gëlénva!!! Rain Chamber (the only from Sadness)
I bought around 60 albuns, the vast majority are either from Trha & Sadness (like 40 or so). Bear in mind that he releases a cd/split every month for each one and I bought what I was missing from Sadness.
Apart from that guy the only thing I bought was Shigenso from Enterré Vivant. I even bought the CD.
So what' my favourite of the year? It's kind of hard to choose but If I had to do it I Would go with Trha - Abcu. My young boy of 8 asks me to put that music on (the second one). Although All three are near perfection that one everyone fell in love here - even my wife.
If you can't hear it, go here https://flowingdownward.bandcamp.com/track/2-trh-c-n-nina-emul
This year I found out that I am enjoying a lot one artist that have two bands. You don't know but I love music, black metal to be precise, since I was 15. I am now 42. I've heard everything and beyond. From pure black metal to COF and everything inbetween. At like 35 I started finding atmospheric black metal and my taste changed... And then last year I found Trha and his song Dolh from https://trha.bandcamp.com/album/lhum-jolhduc was my favorite music of the year having heard like a every night from one year... (not kidding)
I have Tinnitus and so at night I hear him to help me fell asleep - I kid you not. And then as he released more and more and heard everything but that music is till my favorite. Then I found Sadness and I knew there were some resembles but one day on metallum everything wen live and we knew it was the same person... So for reference;
Trha https://trha.bandcamp.com/
Sadness https://sadnessmusic.bandcamp.com/
He releases a lof cd's throughout this year and the last years and I bought them all. I don't have everything yet of Sadness but from Trha is instant-buy. I didn't even heard and it's I buy it.
And what is this?
Well this guy is a genious. No doubt about it. I am not saying that there aren't a couple of songs that ressonate with me - but almost everything do.
It picks me up, instead of making me feel sad. It gives me hope it gives me pleasure earing and since there are so many songs and styles it always felt a bit different. You've got emo screams, mix with black metal, with shoegaze, ambient , post rock ... If you hear per example
https://sadnessmusic.bandcamp.com/album/motionless-watching-you-2 is totally different from https://sadnessmusic.bandcamp.com/album/and-longing-are-the-endless-waves). If you didn't knew it could have been a different guy.
Is this level of eclectic stuff (is that a word?) that pulls me...
TRHA in the other end the musics are more metal, noise, raw, screams and all in a language he invented and it's not like let me grab here some words and put a music. No, there are lyrics that goes two or three pages and even if most you don't know what they mean (he has shared some lyrics in english) you know there words are identyical from one place to another so it's this level. I Am not saying he is Tolkien. Tolkien worked with it, and study finish welsh and old stuff to make this language look phonetic and writing very similar. You can understand , not understadning that the words are an evolution and so on. Here is not that... At times I thought it was hungarian and probably he got references from several languages and mix match. Don't know... But it's awesome to see this level of commitemend from someone who didn't stick with the easiest path and went beyond. He even created a youtube channel where he pronuciates some of the words. Very cool.
So my advise to you this year? From Sadness:
https://sadnessmusic.bandcamp.com/track/melancholie-und-die-hoffnung-des-horizonts This song is awesome and really interesting journey of 21:20 minutes. Love it. It was written back in 2015 so he was what 17/18? Damn impressing.
From Trha ye got https://trha.bandcamp.com/track/s-trharhanlha or dolh
So perfect music... BUT To be honest choosing one song over dozen he wrote it's just awful. Start at the beginning and go down that rabbit hole. You will be amazed.
Next year I don't expect anything different...
Please continue to make great music.. I will keep buying. Wish I could have CD's to hear in my car.
This was a good year in terms of music. I found that my genre is changing from more melodic symphonic black metal to atmospheric black metal.
I've been hearing a lot more music in bandcamp and purchase a lot of albuns... and even physical albuns that I know many people don't do it. Some of my discoveries and top 5 were
Downfall of Nur (This is a band from Argentina) with only one Full-Lenght (I purchase the physical album but I still have not receive it); they also have a collaboration with Selvans (that's where I discover them). In terms of music is really beautiful- there isn't any flaw in the music throughout the album. I know the voice will put some people off but I really love them. In terms of lyrics - well they made me search about a ancient kindgom; they made me look into the history of Sardinia, their language and really other stuff. Perfect!
Btw; Downfall of Nur is Antonio Sanna - one man band (the vocalist is Dany Tee (it's important because....)
Because of Downfall of Nur I met Los Males Del Mundo. They only have an EP but what an EP it is. So good. They are looking for a place to record their stuff. They should do a kickstarter or indiego.
Then I met Selvans. This is more orchesta focus with a lot of instruments and they are ex-draugr. I really enjoy that band as well. It has some folk elements but every CD it's a bit different. I bought two Selvans/Downfall of Nur plus Faunalia. My goal is to buy them all but my money is not ulimited. I do have them via bandcamp but I also want cd format.
But I am not totally away from pure black metal, althought most bands are really bland but one come atop of everyone else. Don't know why they only published two EP's. Want a CD but they don't have. The band it's called Nimbifer
the last one I am going to mention with a video it's Begotten. A canadia black metal band with some depressive vocals that really made me want to cry. IT's damn perfect. Their first music from the the cd A waning Silhouette it's really good. Damn perfect. When Covid hit I thought this music really expresse the feelings most people were felling (although the cd it's from 2018). It's a shame I don't have the lyrics...
Fun fact: I bought all three cds from them and each time they reply with a small paper thanking me - in portuguese! How cool is that?
Honourable mention goes to Creatures with the cd Le Noir Village. Very different. The music isn't really pure black metal, the voices are very varied with at least 6/7 vocals. Then each music is a tale on it's own. I love the CD I bought The lyrics remind me of Cradle of Filth. Complex and do tell stories.
Svrn - Atmospheric Black Metal with hints of Depressive. This CD compiles their earlier work (8 ep's or cds I believe). They are Ukrainian and sing in their native language. (one man band)
Хмарь - This ones are from Russia and sing a Atmospheric Post Black Metal. Expect screams. (unknown composition of band)
Marunata - He hails from France and it's very good. As the previous band it sings in a atmospheric post black metal. It's very cool (one man band)
Clouds Collide it's another post black metal band with blackgaze.
Nemus hailing from Germany the sound it's atmospheric black metal. It hints at post in of the cd's but my favorite it's more black metal than post. (one man band)
Abstract Void this band goes from atmospheric blackgaze with some hints of 80's. It's very different from what I normally hear.(one man band)
Imber Luminis depressive black metal in it's best. Another one band man.
There are other but this are the top... I Want to say something that I found out this year... most new band, this post or atmospheric depressive metal bands are usually one band man. They are very personal lyrics and music. And I really seem to enjoy each day that passes even more. Every night I hear at least one hour of new music when I go to bed. Most of these bands were found that like this... Bandcamp really change my way of listening music (and founding out new music).
I found these videos online, if any of the artists don't want them please do so.. I don't know if they are legal but I believe so.
So here we go. The futility of love and dim reality of life. I've just finish the last episode of White Album 2. Bear in mind that I watched White Album 1 and 2 back to back in a record time of 4 days. That's 39 episodes. That's pretty awesome to me. And White Album 2 in less than 24h. So what can I say and why am I writing a review - because I need it. I don't have anyone to speak about anime - nor do I have friends that I can really talk about this or my feelings for that matter so I write here and that must be sufficient to help me. I am feeling melancholic almost on the verge of crying - and for a 38 year male to admit that - yeah. Let starts from the beginning... White Album and White Album 2 are independent stories that happen to have the same name & musics. One is set 10 years after the other and occasionally they will tell something -remember that pop idol ? Yeah that's almost all of it. The story is different. The characters are different and even the way they made it it's different. And lets start from the finish - the rating. White Album 1 I would give it a rating of 2/3. White album 2 I would and will rate at 9/10. That's how different they are.
White album 1 main characters (missing the boy)
White Album 1 Both are based on a visual novel but in white album they screw up. A visual novel you play a character and then you must either guy the affection of a girl or another (or a dozen for that matters). When you "evolve" your stats in one basically the others hate you and so on. If everything goes okay you end up with one of them... Basically it's that. What they tried to do was amalgamation of all routes but end up screwing everything up. You got our main protagonist Touya who is dating soon to be idol Yuki but along the way of work she gets a bit distant (although she loves him deeply) and other girls try their pieces out of him and basically he sleeps with a half-dozen girls -branding himself to the viewers as a bastard. This screws everything. If the authors wanted to make an anime with all routes they could have done something like Amagami SS where they gave you all routes in 26 episodes format (3/4 for each one) and got to decide which ending you enjoyed most. Here you ended up with a bastard who ended up lonely. Tough luck. The characters were bad - frankly bad and the main characters had no personality whatsoever. End of story. White Album 2 In White Album 2 they learn their lesson. Out are all other side characters and we've got Haruki (The boy) who convinces Ogiso (the popular girl) to have a band after hearing her singing. They also convince Touma Kazusa (waifuuuuu!) to play with them. She is the daughter of a known artist and it's passing a rebel phase. The three of them rehearse a lot sometimes only Haruki and Touma and other times all together and play a fantastic gig in the school for all to see. Afterwards everything went down the hill. Ogiso after the concerts asks Haruki do be her boyfriend and he happily agrees. Ogiso then tells Touma who says she doesn't care - she is a typical Tsundere character by the way.
Damn....
The school is ending and so they do a lot of stuff the three together never parting although Touma is getting distant and then stop talking all together. Ogiso is having a birthday party and invites both. Touma doesn't answer and Haruki is preoccupied and starts to understand he has feelings for her. He goes to her house and then there are reunion where Touma initially says she doesn't care about him but then breaks up crying - making all the viewers crying - in the train - and they kiss. We then have a two episode flashback of Touma and her falling in love wth Haruki - basically her point of view. We thought that Haruki only recently met her but it seems for the last 6 months or so, she frequently played piano while he play guitar (although he doesn't know who she is and she does) while at the same time he tries as the class representative to get her to school because she misses a lot. She falls in love in love and after the concert while he was sleeping she kisses him and Ogiso saw and that is why she made her move to make him her boyfriend. Flashback ended we return to the present and Haruki kisses her and she runs away. He doesn't say anything to Ogiso although she has her doubts. (She knew from the start that Touma loves Haruki and Haruki has feelings for her) Jump forward to the end of the school (a couple weeks later) and Ogiso says that Touma is leaving to Vienna to live with her mother. When he hears this he leaves Ogiso and runs away after Touma to the dismay of Ogiso and some other minor characters -friends of them all. We later learn from Ogiso flashback that she knew everything and everything was planned (the boyfriend move) and she feels bad about it.
Touma then calls Haruki saying that she is leaving and Haruki sees her through the window and while she is talking he met her and they kiss. They made love - this scene was so interesting to see in a non-adult anime. Usually they skip these parts because the animes but here it was very nicely executed (no nudity whatsoever) but the photo on the background of the three, the cloth, the missed called from Ogiso... It was flawless. Afterwards she says she is going to leave and he should let her go. Ogitso then learns that her plane is leaving and wants to catch up to Touma but Haruki doesn't want to go and says he wants to talk with her (probably confess or break up). Ogiso says she won't listen to him unless he comes with her to get Touma (she probably knows everything...) As they go in the train Haruki confesses everything and Ogiso says she always knew and don't seem that upset for that matter. She admits that she made him date her because she likes the spotlight - interestingly she almost hints she doesn't love him. In the airport they meet Touma while they are talking and Haruki embraces crying Touma. Touma looks at Ogiso and ask for forgiveness and kisses Haruki. Ogiso starts remembering some parts and admitting that she loves Haruki deeply - as much as Touma. We then see the plane carrying Touma leaving while Ogiso is holding Haruki who is crying (just to be clear - he is facing forward and she is on her back holding him). Despite Haruki telling her to leave him, Ogiso refuses to leave, saying she'll stay with him so that her heart won't freeze over... And then we hear the last song they play in the concert - made by Haruki all those months. Music - Sound - if you wanna hear - it's Japanese though.
Rivals and Friends
The Lyrics Are you pretending to be lonely? Why? I'm curious about it Before I even realised it, I was completely charmed by you What should I do to have my heart reflected in the mirror? Even though my love is unreachable, I wonder if the day it is reflected will come Until I can start to see that blurred answer My heart cannot come alive That day when I first called out to you and you turned around to face me You were so dazzling that I couldn't look straight at you What should I do to have myself reflected in your heart? Even though my love won't come true, I wonder if the day it is reflected will come If I can see that blurred answer, even a little Then my love will surely start to stir And thus end the tale. In the visual novel there are several endings but probably the most wanted it's Touma and Haruki dating and marrying... but unfortunately in the anime we don't see anything. It frustrates me. All characters have flaws - so many flaws and they each one is selfish little interest, from the start to finish they are selfish who brought into themselves everything... Why the creators went so far to making a great anime and then not giving us a ending. Maybe they were hoping for a second season? Who knows... There is a complete website dedicated to the visual novel which enlighted me more... if you want to check it out. There is so much I wanna talked but words escape me... I read a dozen reviews - this is also very good So why did it touch me so much? I really don't know. The love concept; the lovelorn situation, drama, the mix feelings, the tragedy and then it comes to, why people watch tv shows? or animes for that matter? It's because we relate to them? It's because we put ourselves in their shoes? It's because that didn't happen to us and we wanted them? It's because... So many questions... this anime made a dent in my heart and mind like Toradora did. Both are about romance. One with a happy ending and other not. Tsuki Ga Kirei another romance story (this one with happy ending - more perfect than the princess from disney). I am melancholic and devastated. Need to listen to my depressive black metal. This band is helping music to hear...
This four shows were good entertainment but nothing that I would be recommending to anyone. It serves the purpose of a Seasonal Anime.
Zombieland Saga is a show about a group of dead idol girls as they try to find their place in the living world. There were some cool moments and the only main protagonist is the same voice actor of Stein's Gate mad scientist and its no doubt one of the main reasons to watch the show if not the main. The idol part, there were some good musics but as far as the plot goes - well it goes nowhere. As I said it's just a show of coming to terms they were dead and still want/have to be idols. 6/10

Yagate Kimi ni Naru it's the Shoujo Ai of the season. A girl loves another while the "another" does not - and it's a journey of self discovery and one that made me cringe a couple of times. It seems you are not born a gay or lesbian but "turn" into one. Lets look at our main character. She's got no indication she is into girls but then you've got this hot chick unto you and after several advances and kisses and such she finally realizes... well I might be gay. Nevertheless it's a good anime with two interesting main characters. Great artwork and animation and okay plot. Another anime I wouldn't suggest to anyone. 7/10

SSSS Gridman it's the new tale by Trigger and it's a bit of a failure in my opinion. This is a remake (if you want) Of a live action tv series with the same name. I've not watch it btw.... Nevertheless in this tale we follow three friends who fight different kaiju (mecha like beings) each episode. After the battle only the three of them remember the Kaiju and the destruction it made. You've also have goddess like girl who "makes" the Kaiju. Then after a couple of episodes it turn waywired with virtual reality stuff. Being trigger show it has a very distinctive feel and I enjoy it - but then again it's another show that nobody will remember in a couple of months. 6/10

Release the Spyce it's the girl show where five/six girls are turn into techno-ninjas and fight evil organizations while doing some kind of drug "aka" Spyce. It's also a coming of age of one of the girls as she learns how to fight. It's that show that features almost no man (unless they are evil doers) and girls almost lesbian but not that quite. It has a lot of action and cuteness... Nothing worth remembering about. 5/10
Most influential bands/cds of my life. Cradle of Filth - Cruelty and the Beast was the first non-heavy metal band I heard and I was enamored with it. The lyrics focusing on Elizabeth Bathory made me look into vampirism and history. It made me what I am. Guys, this album is probably the most influential cd of my life. I had negative marks in english -When I tried to translate them my love for English grew. So tell me, how can this be in number one? I might like more the CD Dusk and Her Embrace in terms of sound BUT this one is the most influential without a single doubt. Everything I enjoy grew from this...
Cradle of Filth - Dusk and Her Embrace after purchasing the Cruelty and the Beast I remember purchasing Dusk and it was different but as good. I remember and still do that at the time I didn't enjoy as much and relegated to sideways but now after 20 years I have no doubt to say that Dusk and her Embrace have better sound that cruelty but cruelty is in another tier for me. Nowadays it's probably the CD I hear more besides the new post black metal stuff I tend to hear.
Anorexia Nervosa - Drudhenhaus If Cradle of Filth is my favourite band Anorexia Nervosa is not BUT their Drudhenhaus CD got me loving Symphonic Black Metal again when I was in a more Power Metal phase. It was around 5/6 years after my discovery of Cradle. The lyrics in english, french, german, italian and latin all mix together and the chaos orquestra behind it while the vocalist SCREAMS in a way Dani (from cradle) could not made my love the cd. I've heard this cd every single month for 15 years and still enjoy it. Their other albuns were not as good since they change the style a bit. Later they ended their band because the vocalist left.
Stormlord - War: Supreme Art - I enjoy a lot of Cradle and when I heard Stormlord I thought, well this is it the new leaf of my kind of metal. Alas the band lost her way with their other cds but this one still clings to my heart. The vocals are more akin to Anorexia Nervosa and the lyrics are focus on Roma and Fantasy. It was fast and furious (before the movie existed). The title track has probably the fastest drums I've ever heard.
Desire - Ahh Desire a Portuguese band that I met and heard in real life only a couple of months ago. When I purchase Locus Horrendus I was a fan. Slow doom metal with their mix voices was really awesome. But this band comes into life after my dark moments. If I am hearing them then most probably I am sad and depressed. The Rest of the CD's are also good but Locus Horrendus really hit the mark. If you hear it and read the lyrics probably you gonna be depressed....
Moonspell - Alma Mater - Another portuguese band that I only discover several years after Cradle of Filth. And Alma Matter become a instant favourite with the title track being among my favourite musics. I've heard live several times (3 or 4) I think. The title track Alma Matter played at my wedding, a surprise from my wife - Most people where - what? But heck it's our DAY.
Rhapsody (& Luca Turilli) - If there is a band that never released anything bad it's Rhapsody and Luca Turilli. I enjoy almost all their albuns (although I think the last three are a bit of let down and nothing new was really made). Probably until Rain of Thousand Flames are all good then it's more the same (which is not that bad BUT...) The Village of the Dwarves from the 3 CD play at my wedding as a intro music.
Tvangeste - Firestorm When I was enjoying more and more symphonic metal I discovered Tvangeste. It was a time I was also reading about paganism and such and this cd is a concept cd about baltic paganism and their struggle. I discover Perkunos -and voila, this blog was created. I still hear the CD but nowadays their vocals are not among my favourite I might say. But in terms of sound? One of the best.
Windir I only discovered Winder after he died. I enjoy his viking metal musics but what motivate me to enjoy even more was his act. His first two cds were made by him (only) and he was around 16/17. That's saying a lot. I shall put here one of the musics...
This live version was made as dvd special as all money went to Valfar family. I might be mistaken but his brother is the singer. If you like the original is here
Sirius - At tenth place is Sirius a pretty old black metal band which was one of the first bands of Symphonic Black Metal I heard after they all they play at my school. I didn't enjoy the CD they recorded with the Emperor dudes but the cassete called ...the Eclipse (The Summons of the Warriors of Armageddon). The theme dealt with the cosmos and mysticism. I still have the cassette but no player eheh
I don't know why it's an inverted cross. They are totally not satanic. Oh well...
1755 Lisbon Earthquake was the biggest earthquake in the history of Europe in two thousand years. It was felt from Lisbon to Morroco to Ireland and even finland.. It devastated Lisbon but it also killed people in Spain and Morroco. Not only the Earthquake but the Tsunami itself...
Well it was the year 1755 1st of November where catholics had the holy day of All Saint's Day. Basically the eartquake was at 9:40 am so many people where in churches and as the earth tremble many people died in churches and at their homes... The ones that were saved run to the coast because the water receded and people thought it was safe... But unfortunately it was not. A great tidal wave engulf 40m later and many people were lost... Fires broke out throughout the other areas... Peniche, Cascais and so on.. Azores and Madeira were devastated as well..
They've said that 85% of all buildings were destroyed... more than 50,000 people died (there are estimation to 100,000)... Royal Ribeira Palace was destroyed and 70,000 volume royal library was destreoy with hundreds of art paintings... Royal Hospital was consumed by fire and hundreds of patients were burned to death and even our greastest general tomb Nuno Alvares Pereira was lost... There is a place were the ruins was never recovered (some construction so it would fell of course) so people would never forget - to this date it was not recovered - Convent Carmo
With this came despair, the city destroyed, the corpses littered the ground, hunger and diseases... One man rose called Marquis Pombal and he rebuilt Lisbon in the way you know Lisbon (At least the zone of Baixa to Belem and even to the north of Lisbon.
Well This was the worst of them all BUT there were others One in 1321, one in 1531, this one in 1755 and the last one in 1969. There is an interval of 220/230 on each great earthquake and some people say the one in 1969 was not as powerful... So who knows?
So, basically the CD from Moonspell entitled 1755 is a thematic cd singed in portuguese about 1755. It does not feel like the first Wolfheart or the last one Extinct. It's different... I would even go so far to say it's a mix of genres - some musics the innitial ones are more dark since it tells us ab out the day itself - 1755, Desastre (Disaster) or Abanão (The Shake - Probably the more similar term in english), some musics are more focus on the aftermath and feellings the portuguese felt afterwards (Evento (Event) 1 de Novembro (1st November), Ruinas (Ruins) Todos os Santos (All Hallows Eve) and Lanterna dos Afogados (The Lantern of the Drowned Ones - or The Drowners's Lantern).
So the music turns to more brutal to more dark and melancholic tone..
This Earthquake was one of the main factors for Portugal disappearance from the central stage of the Colonies in America, Africa and Asia. It does not disappeared completely but Portugal was(Is) always a country of people who feel first the negative side of things... we are downers if you will... Just so you understand - a normal person in portuguese if it wants to invite another to go out or something like that it doesn't say -" Wanna go out somewhere?" It says "Don't you want to go out to eat somewhere?" do you understand what I am saying? It's hard to explain to a non-portuguese - it's something you feel and you know...
But it's much more than the earthquake - it's about disasters - about Portugal, Look at Todos os Santos. It could be set in the recent fires of Pedrogão Grande or other tragedies...
Portugal is the country of Saudade - that word that there is no equivalent in Germanic Languages. Portugal has something very remarkable that english don't have... Example - someone dressed up nicely and you want to say that a person is beautiful NOW , you would say "You are beautiful" - Portuguese would say "Tu estás bonita"; but if an english wanted to say that a person is beautiful (everytime) they would say "you are beautiful" and we would say "Tu és bonita"
There isn't a TO BE verb in portuguese - there are too... SER and ESTAR... well but I talk too much sorry
What I wanted to say is - buy the damn CD. It's awesome thematic CD. To english people, yeah it's sang in Portuguese - Get a translator and study some portuguese :D I've read some reviews by american guys and they were awful because they don't even know where is Portugal so how come would they know about our Terramoto of 1755? But heck - if you like history then this CD is a must
Fuuka was a really interesting show. Another highlight in my book. Unfortunally it didn't fare that well in Myanimelist with only a score of 6.90 with 82K members. Synopsis Yuu Haruna just moved into town and loves to use Twitter. Out on his way to buy dinner, he bumps into a mysterious girl, Fuuka Akitsuki, who breaks his phone thinking he was trying to take a picture of her panties. How will his new life change now? I am going to say upfront that I really enjoy so much the first four or five episodes that I try to read the manga. I was so well impressed
by it and it almost ruined the show for me... (I will say what later on).
The anime basically follows the synopsis I just put up there. Then as he go to the new school he learns that blue hair girl is from her class. He goes to the roof to tweet about his new school and yet again he is caught taking her picture (by mistake) and yet again she breaks her phone. Second phone in two days. From that moment on, and due to his awkward way she befriends him. Fuuka is energetic girl, very easy going and friendly. Yuu Haruna very fast befriends her and learns that she really likes hearing music particular from a young artist called Koyuki Hinashi. She then confesses that she is missing something in her life where he ask her why not singing and forming a band. Due to her personality she grabs Yuu to learn the base, Mikasa (her homosexual friend who Yuu first thought to be her boyfriend) to play the keyboards, Nachi (who was currently trying to put Fuuka on the Track Field) and later Sara (the young sister of one of the players of their favorite band HEDGEHOG) From that moment they start playing and learn to exist as a band. They also participate in a live concert where Hinashi appears to sing alongside Fuuka. Then enters Hinashi who was a childhood friend of Yuu (he calls Tama-Chan and she calls him Nico-Kun) and a love interest develops. First Yuu is drawn to her and she reveals in life broadcast that every music she made was dedicated of her love to him. This makes Fuuka apprehensive since she learns that he loves him and so she leaves the band and soon afterwards everyone follows their own path. Yuu is distress and makes a song to everyone to listen and they quickly return with Fuuka exception because she still believes Yuu is in love with Tama - then Tama-chan tells Fuuka that indeed she loves him but he loves Fuuka. Fuuka then returns to the band and sings his song and is a success. In the end we see them together, in love and promising to be together forever. This is a small review there are a lot more than this... ANIME VS MANGA Well, spoilers, everything before was spoilers but this is more... In the manga after their first show where Fuuka sings with Hinashi, Fuuka is hit by a truck and dies. Also that love triangle present in the anime don't exist in the manga. Many people where upset by this changes. I for once I enjoy it. I like "bad" endings. I like sad stuff that make me think and cry. I like to be move. I think they knew this wasn't going to have a sequel and so they changed it OR they thought about this since the beginning. I don't know and I don't care. Althought Fuuka is a really great gal (if she existed in reality) Tama chan don't stay behind. She is in love with Nico(Yuu) since the beginning and could have fought for him but instead he gives him to Fuuka. That's love! People like that almost doesn't exist. OPINION I really enjoy the music on this anime. I really anjoy the characters and I was very in doubt on which team I was... Fuuka or Tama-chan. I really couldn't decided until the end. There is some fan service but nothing I would consider "Ecchi" but in Myanimelist they put it there. In the first episode we see Fuuka panties. We see her taking a bath with Tama-chan (nothing is shown). I don't know if this is free ecchi. Maybe it is. Nevertheless it exists. I really enjoy the series but reading the manga spoilt and made me wanna stop the series because I was shipping Fuuka with Yuu. But then the anime throw a curve ball at us.
