Anime Review: Hanebado & Harukana Receiver (Summer 2018)

This last season had two sports anime.

The first was Hanebado -a  story about badminton and the struggles of one team. In the beginning you think  Nagisa wo

uld be your main character and then afterwards it change  Ayano and to me it was a deal breaker. I didn't even enjoy the story besides it was very stupid and basic. Basically she was a really good player that took a bit to far the competition (because of her mother who push her). When her mother sense she was going too far - she left her daughter and runaway to Denmark to train another girl who then would appear on the story to battle Ayano. Then it was over in a couple of episodes and on to battle between Nagisa and Ayano.

In my humble opinion, in terms of art style is really really good. The movement of the players, the lightning, the imagery, landscapes all perfect BUT then the plot was really dumb and stupid.  At times you could see Ayano almost ready to murder her opponent (even on practice matches)... Enfin... To watch if you want to try to see one of the most gorgeous animes of the season but nothing else. I rate 5 out of 10.

Then we've got Harukana Receiver a tale about beach volleyball. We follow Haruka & Hanuta. The first is new to game and the other had some problems playing after she and her other friend separate after losing a match. A bit too much dramatic in my opinion but ok. 

Basically we follow them playing together from the first match to compete in the preliminaries. They meet some people who help them  like Claire and Emilie and other bunch of characters who really have no impact on the tale. Don't know why they were there.  There are some interesting imagery but overall the story really doesn't go nowhere and probably a second season will be made (but I highly doubt it). Advisable if you want to see girls in bikini playing beach volley.

Overall they are not great animes but watchable... If you want to watch some sports anime with ecchi involved try Keijo!!!!!!!!

Anime Review: Tachibanakan Triangle, Alice or Alice, Omae wa Mada, Amai Choupatsu, Dorei-ku, Lady Spo (Spring 2018)

Last Season (Spring) was not that bad comparing with other seasons before. Some shows were pure crap but some really stand out. Well lets talk about the bad shall we?

First of all Amai Choupatsu our disguised hentai of the season. I can see that kind of prison appear. I mean, a lot of guys would go voluntarily to prison no? Crappy plot and characters. Animation? Perfect! You know what I mean... eheh
Magic Bus - Ecchi, Josei


Dorei-Ku the Animation - What a bunch of crap. So basically you've got this things you put in your mouth and if you win anything against any person (or not) having that same device you basically control them. It could have been good? Nope. Crappy.
TNK - Psychological, Drama

Omae wa Mada Gunma wo Shiranai is a anime about Gunma Perfecture. A show with 5m episode where basically you've got a stupid plot about Gunma hating foreigners (don't know if it's true or not) and then 30 seconds of really people talking about Gunma. Entertainting but pretty much a dead anime.
Asahi Production - Comedy, School

LadySpo gets the point of being the worst anime in 2018. There's a reason why the rating in Mal is 3.95. In this case I say that's too much... sports with sci-fy but boring, so pretty much boring about EVERYTHING.

Alice or Alice: Siscon Niisan to Futago no Imouto is our show about FBI coming to arrest you if you watch the complete season. Basically you've got this two child (well developed I might say) and our main protagonist who basically is being seduced by them. Oh my god...  Thank the gods I don't live in USA.
EMT² - Seinen, Slice of Life

Tachibanakan Triangle is a show about young female teens having their go in their sexuality. Every season has one Shoujo Ai and this was it. Good animation, after all ECCHI but pretty much everything else is crap.

Anime Review: Tokyo Ghoul (Summer 2014)

Summer 2014 was a good season for anime. Well lets be real - 2014 overall was quite good with 26 shows with rating above 8 while 2013 had only 17. Comparing per example with 2013 with only 17 and 2015 with 27.

Most shows that have sequels one interesting thing is that the rating usually goes UP while the total people watching goes DOWN. In case of Tokyo Ghoul it didn't happen that way. This one had a rating of 8 while the second season had a rating of 7.45. That's a big drop guys.

Lets be curious about this... In that season we've got some animes that sequels. 

Kuroshitsuji: Book of Circus (8.34) While his sequel had 8.35 and the prequel had 8.00. So it got up. Speed Dandy season 2 had a rating of 8.28 while the first season had 7.88. Hanamonogatari had a rating of 8.08 while the one coming afterward (even if it was a prequel) had a rating of 9.03.  Free!: Eternal Summer had 7.86 while the prequel had 7.59. In my opinion MAL in the ranking boards shouldn't include every single season of anime or lest the top 20 be 6 Gintama or Haikyuu!! and others.. Probably one way to do this was a average of some sorts. I don't know... 

Well lets continue to Tokyo Ghoul. There are a lot of negativity reviews but with that rating something is wrong. The anime is not the best anime of year or even season for that matter BUT it's good.

This series focus on our main character Kaneki as he transforms from a human to a half-ghoul, half-human after Kaneki was critical injured by a woman ghoul called Rize while being herself injured in the process. So he awakes to find that some Rize's organs are inside him and thus he is reborn.

As the story progress, I won't make this a lengthily but from episode 2 or 3 through 7 or 8 is about Kaneki trying to comprehend whats the meaning of being a ghoul and the last four episodes are about a group of ghouls called Aogiri storming one district of the city by night while the police (or doves as they call them) try to recover ground.

But what's a ghoul? A ghoul is basically a half vampire / half ghoul with a weapon called Kagune that leaves his back and it's unique to each one. The police also uses Kagune inside a briefcase to help battle ghouls.

Before everything, I watched the uncensored version so I didn't have the same problem as other people had. I also didn't read the manga. But I know that a lot of stuff felt rushed. That ending was so rushed that the battle between the Aogiri vs Police vs Kaneko's friends didn't even end. 

There are a lot of side characters who appear just to be kill and we are suppose to be real scared by it BUT we aren't. Kaneki which entered that world only a small time it's a pain the ass because he is gutless and always crying. So again, the last episode that transformation - while its good it felt rushed and he become nigh immortal . Here we go again with a overpowered anime MC for second season. I bet that turn people off.

This anime is worth washing for the battle scenes and lore but for PLOT and characterization I wouldn't recommend it.  A lot of blood. The last two episodes while Kaneki suffers being cut a thousand times, cutting fingers and such and breaking bones is quite displeasing. I don't know what was the purpose (probably to make us understand why he absorved the Ghoul part of him?) I don't know...

Overall, I am going to watch season 2 (season 3 is coming) but I don't have much hopes...

Anime Review:Killing Bites (Winter 2018)

This show is about beautiful animals all working together against the  pigs - nah that's a book :)

For a girl who doesn't wear bra her boobs defy gravity - talk about a Ratel!

This is a anime focus on battle royal show where half-humans half-animal fight one another (Therianthrope). Each one develops the skill of an animal (like hippopotamus, gorilla, tiger and other less know but respectable animals like our main character a Ratel (like the honey badger or wolverine). I didn't knew but they are quite powerful since they can even repelled an attack from a Lion which is ten times as larger. They even go on an offensive when they are trapped. Bee Stings, porcupine quills or other animal bites rarely penetrate their skin. If larger animals like cattle of buffalos intrude their burrow they go on offensive and they are virtually tireless. The only one I didn't knew was and it was the last fight is called a pangolin. Their armour is so strong that in India was costume to hunt them down and make a coat of armor but since they were too hard to find and kill it was for everyone.

Most of these stuff I learn in the anime, others I search. As fights erupt and a knew animal appears we learn from a narrator about that animal - which was one of the most interesting parts of the anime.

The anime itself is not that good in my humble opinion. It focus a lot on battle & fan service - beware, if you turn off by it - there is a lot of it.

So what's this anime about? Well it's about a man (Nomoto) who lives his life bossed around, encounters Hitomi (Ratel) as his friends are trying to rape her. She quickly kills them all and "adopt" him. He learns that Hitomi is a therianthrope of a Ratel and she wants to compete in a Destroyal where teams of therianthropes band and fight other therianthropes. Each Therianthrope follows the guidance of a "family" of some sorts.
And thus begins the quest to meet fellow therianthropes to fight alongside her. First they enlist a hippopotamus and then the cowardly rabbit who only knows to dig holes and run.

As the battles progress we get to see this is more than monster defeating monster but a power struggle between the families which comes in fruitation in the last episode. Btw the last episode made me drop my rating for two things (spoilers)

This got no hentai - I promise. And it's a snake not a octupus ;)

1) This is not a ending but partial ending of some sorts. Something is going to happen we don't know what. I wonder what kind of beast/human will arrive. I can't see any more dangerous animals besides the ones already presented. Probably a white shark?

2) Why did Hitomi had to kill Yuuya? It makes no purpose... I don't really care about killing of characters. I think it gives us something more to fear after all we all thing the main characters don't die. But since it's never fully explained I couldn't understand it... MAybe a second season?

Well overall nice entertaining series BUT don't expect much. Maybe wait until a fully uncensored version? who knows... If it was trying to be a High School DxD but more gory and less comedy (mixing battles with ecchi) it failed. Neverthless good show to watch a episode per week.

Anime Review: Koi wa Ameagari no You ni (Winter 2018)

I love romances. I know. I am black metal guy but I always loved Romances. And this show was marvelous until the last episode. It made me drop my innitial rating of 10 to 9 (which is awesome by the way) but unfortunately I cannot and will not put the same rating of Tsuki Ga Kirei.

Lets start with the animation and sound... Perfect perfect perfect. Wit Studio really shines here. They are probably my favorite studio. I love Owari no Seraph (was the first anime I watch since I return to anime in the end of 2015). Really enjoy Attack on Titan and Koutetsujou no Kabaneri. I am going to start watching Mahoutsukai no Yome which true be told as amazing art; and probably later I will watch Hoozuki no Reitetsu. So no problems in that department... when Akira was thinking of Kondou and animation that appear in forms of raindrops and bubbles with the accompanying sound was truly majestic. For s company usually focus on fantasy I think it work pretty well...

First of all - let me say that after watching the last four or five episodes I can honestly say this show is about Romance BUT more about Drama. This is also about following your own dreams. Kondou in writing and reading and Akira struggling to understand what it means to be happy and to acknowledge that sometimes you have to start over to get there...

Either way, I will recommend to anyone who enjoys Romance and Drama. More mature and "real" than Tsuki Ga Kirei no doubt. Nevertheless and unfortunately it fails like most animes focus on Manga that are still ongoing... They have no true ending and as a person who usually doesn't read Manga I start reading this one...

But I am going ahead of myself. The story focus on two characters. Akira Tachibana & Kondou. The first is 17 years old and former track runner who unfortunately gave up after some injury in tendon heel. The other one is Kondou a  45 year old divorced guy and has a child.

Basically after she enters his cafe and he shows concern and kindness toward her she quickly develop feelings for her and start working on the cafe to be more near of him. Thus start the story...

Some romances shows focus with young teens are boring because they are scared to tell the other person they love him. I initial thought that shy girl will also take her time to say she likes him but alas she was quick.  As the episodes progress so we learn more about her feelings and what he thinks of her... the show could go either way - either they got together surpassing the problems of age difference OR Kondou (the adult one) will understand it was wrong and she was felling for him because she was escaping other stuff. He hints at that some time...

And thus enter episode 7 a turn point and probably ONE of the most beautiful moments in anime history. So beautiful I almost cry...

But lets back up... Akira is a female runner who has I said had an accident and I think she alianates herself from the rest of her class (we rarely see her talking to anyone). The only girl she talks is Haruka (another female tracker) but because Haruka keeps running I think they grow apart (even if first Akira and then Haruka try to reconnect). And then at a crucial moment (probably a bit of depression since running was her dream) Kondou help her out and she became enamored with him. But I don't think, right from the start, it was real honest love but rather changing one goal with another. Like sometimes people that go to psychiatrists and such might think they are in love with them because they are "saving" them. But after a couple of first episodes they go on a date and it's pretty easy to root for them - even with that age difference.

The ending, well... it was hard to me to watch it. One part wanted them to be together and another part knew that probably Akira feelings are not tottaly true and Kondou (a gentle guy) would get hurt.

Anime Review: Kokkoku (Winter 2018)

Well just finish Kokkoku and it's a mess.

Basically this anime it's one more anime that will be soon forgotten by everyone. To whom would you suggest? Sci-Fi fans? Action fans? Super Power fans? Horror fans? I don't know what to make of it.

The premise is quite easy to understand (I think). So basically a grandpa reveals to his family that they have a stone that could stop time (no time limit) and unfortunately you had to use it because your grandson and son had been kidnapped.  Okay I can live with this premise. You go there save your kid and grandkid and try to escape but a secret society who had been worshiping your stone (yeah..) were able to enter that time stop timeline (Stasis) as well and they want your stone. How they did it it's beyond me since it's never explain because the other stone is the only one who can do it. That one mimics it?

So as we watch the episodes unfold one after another you get to understand the world. There are beings there that prevent you from doing harm to people in stasis (Heralds). If you try to kill someone you instead will be killed. But after the introduction of this interesting world that even invites us to ask some moral questions on what would you do and what-not the plot goes around around and nothing happens.

Most of the guys who entered are either killed by the Heralds in experiments made by their psycothic master or banished by our main character Yukawa who it seems has the ability to send them back to real time. The grandpa has the ability of teleportation but only a couple of feet away. Oh and the boy (has the ability to make herald do their bidding).

But then everything crumble... Bad guys turn to good easily as peach; some bad guys Majima only wanted to find their family while Shiomi one of the top bad guys realizes their boss is crazy and changes sides. Sako a wannabe old gangster just want to get into the pants of Majima.

As Sagawa (the bad guy) just goes around trying to find out more about the stasis (sacrificing their own guys) he almost turns into a Herald then something different which we never understand what it is. Later on Yukawa almost banishes him and he is reborn as child and so she and grandpa try to raise him. She quickly banish everyone else and stay in the stasis half a year and start raising a child... in the stasis... alone because she soon banish her grandfather then some crappy deus-ex-machina thing happens and she returns... 

There are so many things wrong with anime - it's weird (and not the good kind).

1) the animation is bad to say the least. It almost reminds me of Evil or Live animation.

2) the world had so many flaws - so time stopped and only people live so how could they eat food? Breath air in the same place? Why the girl, boy and grandfather had super powers?

3) those sex jokes were awful - all comedy in this show was awful and in awkward moments.

4) the animation in the end of the anime - why the almost naked girl? What's the purpose - show skin?

5) How slow this anime is appaling. This anime could have been made in 6 with no problem.

6) Wtf was that ending? The evil-doer turn baby? The woman appearing when Yukawa is going crazy and helping her? Talk about deus-ex-machina

Poor show that have few redeeming qualities.

Geno Studio is farily new to my knowledge. Before Kokkoku they've made Gyakusatsu Kikan which is in my to watch list and they are making Golden Kamuy which seems to be really really interesting

Anime Review: Yuru Camp (Winter 2018)

Yuru Camp is the epitome of Slice of Life about something most anime fans will never do but will love it nevertheless.


Like Long Riders! was about learning how to enjoy driving a bike this one was about camping. Both had some rookie advice about stuff you must have or could have while others had more complex information about stuff both things. 

This one had a minor sub-plot on food-porn. Each time they made outdoor food I thought WHY do I have a kitchen if I could only a mini-stove and do it all? It's sad...

Lets be real, Yuru Camp is way better and the rating on MAL proves it. The art and animation are way better. The characters as well. In this one we have pro Shina Rin while on Long Riders you had 3/4 girls but both had a clueless girl Nadeshiko in this one and Ami in the other one. This also follows a trend I enjoy about anime trying to educate anime fans about stuff we don't even care.. or think we don't - Hinako Note made about a trope of Theatre, Urara Meirochou about a fictionalize divining school, Stella no Mahou  about a computer company, Konohana Kitan & Kabuki-bu about Kabuki.

Don't get me wrong - it's interesting that anime can make this stuff a shows us that those things can be good. Geez I wanna go camping and I hate bugs. 

So why the high rating? Well it's a blend of very Cute Girls doing Cute Things with incredible landscapes you could have on your PC, interesting music. It's relaxing and watching before bed will grant you passage to nightmare-zone free zone. I smile while I watch this anime. 

And the food! 

If you want to relax, explore and watch do stuff you either don't feel confortably doing OR if you love it and do it this anime is to you. Slice of Life to the fullest.

Anime Review: Hellsing (Fall 2001)

I somewhat enjoy this anime but overall I must say - it was a boring. Basically we follow Seras Victoria a human turn into a Vampire by a elusive secretive vampire called Alucard (Dracula).

Most episodes have connections between them and have a continuity feeling and so I wouldn't advice to watch separately for full (or not) enjoyment.

As I said most of the episodes we follow either Seras Victoria or the Lady Sir Integra but at the same time it's a show about the villains. 

Alucard, supposedly the main character only appears at particular moments of the episode - only to find myself aghast with the weak character he is. He is so secretive so aloof througought the series that besides episode 9 (we never really know anything about him and even in that episode we don't get that much information).

He is immortal being with no apparent flaws at all since he cannot die - in two episodes he even return from decapitation and total desintigration (only his head remained. Oh and he wins everytime.

A lot of psychadelic effects a some unsanwered questions. In the end it was in my humble opinion a time wasting anime to watch. Should have watch Hellsing Ultimate which focus more on the manga while this one only half the episodes do. The last four eps with the new evil arriving is totally created and not based on the manga.

In the end can I advice it you to watch it? No.
If you want to watch a vampire focus ainme then go Vampire Hunter D.

Anime Review: Centaur no Nayami (Summer 2017)

My Opinion
I had hopes for this anime but I remember saying it could go both ways – it went the bad way. Basically in this world  there are no humans because evolution went another way and so centaurs, devils,  angels and other creatures… Interesting it deals with a lot of subjects of nowadays – racism,  education, sex, being parents and so on… there are hints of a controlling government but totally communist in practice. Basically if you say anything that could being intended as racist or prejudiced they would be “lock” away to reformation at a correctional facility. They even go as far to say that  equality is more important than civil rights.

They even give hints of a conflict between the reptilians of Antarctica and the rest of the world. The centaurs nazi, and the frogs people being seen as inferior and turning as a leader of a country? It has some many good things they could explore but alas they did not. They prefer to make it more focus on the girls and their affairs… 

My Advice
As I said, it could have been great but it is not. It’s a school slice of life anime and nothing else. Forgettable…  Average in every way. Watch it at your own peril...

Anime Review: Keppeki Danshi! Aoyama-kun (Summer 2017)

Keppeki Danshi! Aoyama-kun (Cleanliness Boy! Aoyama-kun) is a Comedy show about a handsome young football player  who is germaphobic and likes everything pristine.

My Opinion
This anime is one of those you  watch and feel a little guilty watching it, because  there is no important message or anything that interesting that should captivate you, besides the comedy parts. Aoyama is g

ermophobic (no, he has no phobia with German people but germs).  He plays soccer and due to his unwillingly resolve of not getting dirty he plays football very well and he is even on Japan U16 national team. While the first episode we get to see his motivations in later episodes we get to know a lot of other characters like Gotou (who adores him) or Zaizen who do not understand how can he be so good player. 

Part of the animation is like this chibi kind like anime...

Other people in his class or school either loves him or… well there isn’t any other type (well there is but they quickly change their mind).  Interesting was the change of focus. The first episode they focus on football but the next three episodes focus on his cleaning habits and interaction with people. In the fourth episode there is even a food battle between another germophobic (but this one doesn’t come “clean” of his status – sorry about the pun). As I watch the rest of the episodes I can’t say this anime is going to be on top ten of any list (either good or bad). Basically Aoyama which is show name is not the main character. I dare say there isn’t any. Each episode is focus on someone near Aoyoma and how they seem him (either good or bad). In then Aoyama always comes on top – aloof all the way… There are some episodes he barely says anything 

My Advice?  
If you like comedy animes mix with slice of life and a bit of football then go ahead BUT as I said it’s never going to be a much have and one of those animes that is bound to be forgot as the times passes….

Anime Review: Demi-Chan Kataritai (Winter 2017)

Sakie, Yuki, Machi, Hikari, Tetsuo & Himari

Well I just finish the the twelfth episode and I must say it was a very good entertaining series. I really hope for a season 2.

#Synopsis#
The story takes place in an age where "Ajin" (demi-human), more casually known as "Demi," have slowly started to become accepted into human society. Tetsuo Takahashi is a biology teacher who ends up teaching three such Demi, hoping to understand more about them while also managing to catch their attention.

In the series some being (Ajins or Demi) start to appear (or being born) from humans (Kyouko has humans parents and same goes with Hikari who has a twin "normal" sister). Vampires, Succubus, Dulhahans, Snow women and so on. They really don't talk outside our four female demi-chans. It would be cool to learn more about other types of demis (or Ajins).

There is a reason why this anime has some high rating of 7.85 with almost 90K members. It was made by one of the most famous anime studios called A-1 Pictures. They are the ones who made Shigatsu Wa Kimi no Uso, Boku Dake, Ano Hi Mita Hana no Namae wo Bokutachi wa Mada Shiranai, Uchuu Kyoudai, Sword Art Online, Fairy Tail or even one my favourite animes Grimgar. 

Why this series are so interesting? 
Well. First of all it takes the Harem formula but gives it a twist. There is indeed a harem but not a romantic one (not counting with Sakie which likes him). There is some ecchi BUT only with Sakie since she is a Succubus. There are a couple of other episodes where Hikari touches Machi but I think it's to loosen her up.

This show is indeed about characters and that's where it shines. It grabs the discrimination/minorities and "plays" around with the demis being new to society. There is an episode where a couple of their colleges are talking and saying that they discriminate by saying they are "demis" and not humans. 

Indeed this can be a slice of life. There are cute girls, pleasing visuals, no particular plot  and this could be seen as another boring slice of life. But in here we've got also likable characters, comedy and great social introspection.

Characters
Tetuso Takahashi is a biology teacher who is fascinated by the demis. He helps each one of them to better understand oneself and at the same time study their conditions and some myths. 

Yuki-Kusakabe she is a snow woman. She endures a transformation like no other demi. In the beginning of the series she dislikes telling people she is a demi and fearful of her "powers" could do to others. Tetsuo helps her understand how her "body" works.

Kyouko Machi. She is a Dullahan. Basically her body and head are not attached. Go read Legend of Sleepy Hollow by Washigton Irving. Throughout the series we learn more about her folklore and status with Tetsuo. There is a interesting episode where she goes to the university to be a Tsetuo friend that talks about the physics and other technical terms to better understand how can she eat or drink and the food go to her stomach since there isn't a physical connection. As she is the smartest girl in school she is fascinated and probably that was Tetsuo intention. She has a crush on Tetsuo.

We've got Hikari Takanashi. She is a vampire and the first one to recurred to Tetsuo. We learn that she avoids biting people necks instead drinking blood sent by the government and drinking tomato juice. She also likes to put her fangs (nibbles) into her twin sister and other people. There is an episode where we the all gang tastes her arms and evaluates their "tastiness" score. She is also easy-going and likes to help people around her. She also confronts people who dislike demi (or other people). In the first episodes she is the link for her new-friends and Tetsuo. They have a great relationship student/sensei or even friend/friend.

Himari Takanashi is a human, no special ability. She is rarely seen on the show but I think they could focus on her more as well. She is the twin sister of Hikari and in all episodes she acts like a protector and almost a "mother" to her. 

Then we've got Sakie Satou. She is a Succubus and a math teacher. She is aware of her "powers" and so she constantly take precautions to avoid seducing her male students making herself looking dull. If a person touches her they become aroused. Se accidentally touches Tetsuo that pretends not to be affected which makes her have a crush on Tetsuo. There is an interesting episode where we follow Sakie throughout her day. Then by the end episodes we learn more of her abilities. In the second-to-last episode she invites Tetsuo to drink in a video  and then personally. He never says yes. In the last episode we see her in a bathing suit and again Tetsuo controls himself.


I think the series has a possibility of a second season, although I understand they stay with only one season. After all it's a great season and one of the best in Winter 2017 but unless they bring a new cast of characters there isn't really a point continuing. Anime Review: Amaama Inazuma (Summer 2016)

Well... This anime was a bit different from what I expected. The premise of this anime was how a young widower dealt with the loss of his wife plus a young female child (4 years?).

As a father (not widower)I watch the first episode and really enjoy it. I thought this was about this journey and maybe a new relationship. 

Unfortunately this anime was about food... yeah, what?? Yes, you read it. This anime is about food. More precise a young widower with a small child learns to cook guide with the help of a college teen with 16 or 17. 

And you now are thinking... are they getting together? Is this show about maybe their involvement? Nope. Nada. There isn't a single hint that the professor is in love with his student, probably the other way around is true...

This is a show about food. 

So, what can I say about it. Each show deals a couple of minutes for the child and the professor dealings and then they get together in a restaurant  (which is always close mind you) and cook with a Teen  (daughter of a famous cook).

Each episode we get to see more of the professor, the child but not so much of the Teen. There are also another two characters (one his a friend of the professor and the other a teen friend of the main-teen).

That's about it. If you want to learn about food then look no forward. If you want to learn about how to raise a child without another parent - probably not the best place. If you like food and like small children - then go for it.

But not all is bad.... I think the actress who portrays the child is awesome. There are some awesome moments and the child really behaves as a child would behave. She sometimes screw up (not that often), makes magic spells so the food turns out good, imagine things, think everything is good and nice and like watching Magi-Girl.

Good show. Probably not for everyone. Can't advice it unless you want a calm cooking anime.

Synopsis

East Tokyo United, ETU, has been struggling in Japan's top football league for a few years. It has taken everything they have just to avoid relegation. To make matters even worse, the fans are starting to abandon the team.

In an effort to improve their performance, ETU has hired a new coach, the slightly eccentric Tatsumi Takeshi. Tatsumi, who was considered a great football player when he was younger, abandoned the team years before but has proven himself as the manager of one of England's lower division amateur teams. The task won't be easy, the teams East Tokyo United is pitted against have bigger budgets and better players. However, Tatsumi is an expert at Giant Killing.

Review

This series are a good football anime with 26 episodes. As The Knight in the Area (another football anime)  I thought they both missed something. This one focus on a coach that is the best at winning points to big teams. In football there are always team that are called Giant Killers but never contenders to titles.  

This story focus on a couple of characters. The first is Takeshi Tatsumi a former player of the team that left to a bigger club (money) and from that moment on the team fell and even w

as relegated. With time and the new captain the team rose to the first team but always small team. After training in England a team and winning bigger teams he return to Japan to train ETU (East Tokyo United) but of course the team is not the same it was and much supporters have left and most players (including the captain) is against the new coach.

Much episodes we are following Takeshi training schedule and his odd appearance and ways. He is undoubtly the main protagonist along with Tsubaki Daisuke a new player that his fast as lightning.  We also follows the supporters (the old supporters and the new more "ultra" supporters, capable of violence and the ones making threats and such)

My problem with this anime is that is rather short. With 26 episodes we see ETU change from a small team to a team who can defeat opponents. As a guy who watches football most things we see him do in the team are highly unlikable to happen in real football and that disappointed me. I hope for a more realistic feel I guess...

Another thing I didn't like was the way it ended. I hoped for more episodes to see where this team was going... but at the same time I understood. This was never about winning the championship but the change...

But nevertheless I enjoy one thing. The same team can play a lot better or worse depending on the manager. He sure is important. My own football team (Sporting Clube Portugal) changed a lot with this new coach. Same team and one year with didn't even compete to win the championship (like previous years) and the next year we were playing for the title becoming second 2 points behind.

A much watch to anyone who enjoys football.

Anime Review: Isuca (Winter 2015)

The Story: Shinichirou decides to look for a job in order to pay his rent, and his teacher suggests that he work for someone at their house doing housekeeping; however, the person who hired him was Sakuya, a girl who is the 37th head of the Shimazu family, and her job is to exorcise and eliminate unwanted creatures. Shinichirou accidentally releases one of the creatures that Sakuy
a captures and they cooperate to catch it. A story of comedic creature hunting begins!

This tale is one more tale about a boy getting a harem of females, because he has some capability that as he kisses one female they became stronger to defeat monsters that threated our existence.

So, basicaly all episodes (12 of them) have the same plot with some differences...

Sakuya the chief of a family (barely 15?- flat-chested) is a huntress and most episodes treats the boy (shincihirou) badly, hurting with words and scorn until they are in a tight spot where he has to kiss her so she can destroy the demons. She is seen naked every episode

Then, there is a voloptous girl (Sakuya cousin) who basicaly is a robot with no grasp of feellings and will do anything to make Shinichirou do her bidding. She is seen naked a couple of times..

Then there is Tamako a beast that serves Shinichirou because he saves her from Sakuya. She is a cat thing and most episodes his naked.

So that's it... what enemies? Sometimes is a randomly Youkai but most episodes is a blond girl that uses western magic... she is a homunculus. (Search the internet for the definition).

So, what does this series have that is good? Almost nothing...

Story - 2/10 There wasn't any. As I said, The main Antagonist  (Isuca) is there to make Sakuya suffer but she is enrolled by someone, who is being hinted as Sakuya's father but the last episode ends with a... well you can't even called that a open ending. It's a no ending...

Sound - 5/10

Character - 2/10 - They were there... That's it.

Graphic / Art  5/10 - Not to bad but nothing great. Too simple...

Enjoyment - Overall - Waste of time. Don't watch it. Or watch it if you want to see some boobs... But there are better series for that.
