I will say up front that I did not enjoy this movie. This book is in the same vein of other Evil Dead but it focus a lot on , and it really wants you to understand about husband vs wife violence - on this of course it's the husband which is violent.
So let's start, you meet two brothers and their respective wife/girlfriend. The husband is a bit idiotic as expected and leaves the place they are after aa few drinks. Of course he runs someone over which is the evil dead (from previous movies). The deadites are trying to find a dagger that this family has.
After the funeral the evil dead takes over the father and from that moment on it's blood, gory situation and killing and after killing.
This movies follows Evil Dead Rise although it's not mandatory to watch. It may help.
I didn't enjoy the not-so-subtly of disguising of themes but alas that is to be epected but the violence is over the top. 6/10
